A still, standing guy and a still, crouching guy are equal. A moving standing guy is moving faster than a crouching moving guy though.

@Orb I expected you to expect me to use the cover available in the north-by-northeast sector and try to flank me from that big open area to the west. Hence, aiming the wrong direction. I should have set up a crossfire line, though.

There is no bonus for crouching.

None. If you think there is one, you are wrong.

Wrong. Cover is far more important than aiming. And there is no combat bonus for crouching.

True, but remember that the moving penalty will negate that. Still+aim beats move+cover.

I don't know if uncrouch counts as movement, though.

Crouch or uncrouch stops you from aiming while it's happening.

Thanks 3, yeah I can imagine many other situations where it would have been different, as well. Fortunately my grenade launcher for your machine gunner in the early stages turned in to a very handy swap from my perspective. Wish I had planned it out like that, but regardless it enabled me to generally maintain tactical advantage.
