Shartak: Browser MMO with Cannibals

Recently been revisiting a browser game I played quite a long time ago, known as Shartak. If you've played Urban Dead, this game is similar, with a near identical interface. The game pits two teams, the Outsiders and the Natives, against each other..each side has 5 classes, each with their own pros and cons. (For example, pirates can plunder villages.)

One of the most interesting features of the game, however, is how death works. Once dead, you continue playing as a ghost in the game..if you have certain skills, you can be a really nasty ghost, seriously injuring multiple people with your screams at once. To be revived you have to find a shaman player (or NPC in each of the villages) who will revive you.

It's a pretty interesting game, and I wouldn't mind fronting the XP needed to buy the skill to start a clan, if some Bay12ers started playing. I currently have only one character, a low-level pirate. Will probably make a cannibal or other outsider one, as well.

In August of 2009, the game apparently switched from character logins to account logins, so you have to make an account first, and then import your old character in, if it is that old :)

Nah, not quite that old. Well, it was, but then I started playing again, briefly.
Anyway, I'll check it out now.

There, I made a shaman dubbed Antimony, and my pirate is quinnri. If you see either of them, say hello! :)

If you wanted to. Except Spirits can't do much besides scream their heads off, and can't be seen except by those with the Sixth Sense skill.

Having so much AP saved up, I used up all my IP hits for the day, but I think I'm nearly at a high enough level to purchase clan leadership, is anyone interested in a B12 clan?

And what should we call it?

Personally I think the game could really use a good pirate clan.
And we already have at least two pirate characters ;)

I joined as a shaman, you are right, it reminds me of urban dead a lot, I plan to make a fair few alts though, just to try out more classes later.

First things first.  You're all soulless husks of what might have once been decent human beings, drafted into a sort of moral apartheid from your better natures in the pursuit of things made out of cute animals.  I love it.-Corvidae
