Game Rule ClarificationsFate Paths are something special. A better explanation will show up when the first fate path appears.
"Influence" is the core mechanic for Gods. It is what enables them to make use of their divine powers, and what prevents them from outright destroying each other. Whenever a God utilizes Influence, they give up a small portion of themselves to alter the world in ways large and small. Generally speaking, a God (or Goddess!) will find it easier to effect the natural world or large groups of people than it will be for them to influence another deity or even an individual sapient creature. A deity may use influence to create, destroy, alter, etc. etc. It can be used to do anything that a god could do.
Every Deity regenerates Influence very slowly over the course of time. However, there are ways to speed the process up. This list will be updated as they are discovered.
Each God may be claim divine right over some concept or idea. From then on, all worship of things relating to that concept or idea will be as if said worship was aimed at the God who has claimed that concept. Once a concept has been claimed (and put into the God's "Portfolio", for lack of a better term), the God may find it easier to utilize influence for tasks regarding that concept. However, no other Deity may lay claim to that concept (and others will find it more difficult to influence tasks regarding the concept) unless the Deity in question is forced to relinquish their control.
The number of concepts and ideas a God can claim dominion over is limited, though it is possible to lay claim over a wider swath of concepts if all of those concepts are related to each other in some way.
OOC Rules1. Proper spelling, please. I understand that English might not be your first language, but that doesn't mean you can't take the time to run a spell-check, right? Right. If being legible is a problem for you, please just GTFO.
2. NO. GOD. MODING. This is serious here, and it really shouldn't be an issue. All characters are run by me first, after all. Which ties into the next rule...
3. No trying to pull the wool over my (or any GM's eyes). We need to know your plans, even if they're against an NPC opponent (if there even is one. Hehe), if we are too our job to the best of our abilities. If you have to, PM us things. For this reason, your character sign-ups should be as detailed as possible (unless stated otherwise, such as in Phase 1) so that
we can't accuse
you of not telling us about something your character might be capable of.
4. For the love of all that is good, please get along. If there is an issue, whether with a GM or another player, please bring it up with me (thatkid!) so that I can try to work things out. If your issue is with me, I promise that I'm a big boy and will try to be as peaceful as possible in handling your complaints. In short: Show respect, and everyone else should do the same. If someone doesn't, lemme know.
5. No OOC Conniving. This sort of falls into Godmoding, but I'll bring it up anyways. With the exception of omnipotent characters, you shouldn't know about everything that goes on. You shouldn't be planning
any strategies OOCly. If I see that, I will be on you so fast you don't even know oh man.
7. Have fun, I mean it. If you aren't, please let me know why so I can try to fix it.
8. There is no rule 6, just like there isn't really a rule 8, 9, or 10. I think that's all.
Only posts after this one count for sign-ups, play, etc.
