There's a reason that Mario Kart DS is the best one. No cheaty AI plus liberal use of snaking with a light kart and heavy driver can outpace nearly anything.

A month-and-a-half necro, but anyway.

Star Wars: Empire at War: Forces of Corruption. Seriously, try playing as the Empire. Multiple attacks by massive Rebel fleets that there's no way in hell they can afford or have the population cap for, along with constant *KA-BOOM!*s as Consortium Defilers keep blowing up stuff on different planets. There was one point where the Consortium somehow parked a Gungan slave in orbit around Corellia, despite a Level 4 Space Station being right there, and when I moved my ground forces to orbit, I enter battle against a L4 Consortium Station over my planet of Corellia(retreating removed the station leaving empty orbit).

And after building the Death Star, I have to keep moving it or else IG-88 will nuke the damn thing(I ragequit after the blast took out my main fleet, which had the Emperor, Vader, Thrawn, and Piett in it). Even if I blow up the planets they run away, and I have to move on, then the Rebels(or Consortium) will just take over the asteroids.

Granted, I probably should have built some Interdictors, but still...

When Monte-Goddamn-zuma's archers and spearmen curbstomp my much more advanced swordsman hordes. And then takes all my sources of iron and horses. I hate the aztecs in CivIII, and combat in general...Half the reason I rarely play it anymore, due to those moments where one unit of fortified spearmen stomp five + units of swordsmen and Mounted Warriors...and then they turn out to have about five more units of said spearmen. In the same city. *Ragequit* usually ensues.

Civ II, when one of my Stealth Fighters was destroyed by the ubiquitous Phalanx Fortified on a Mountain... According to the game's maths, it's possible, but really? Do the phalanx throw their spears at the plane and miraculously hit an engine?

I played the beta, and it's very overhyped. It's boring too.
It's an FPS being published by EA. What did you expect?

I think I understand the difficulty you two are having. You just hate fun, that's all.

That said... any time in BF3 where I've died, been revived, and then immediately died again would be it for me. Usually to a grenade. I became a MUCH happier person after I unlocked the flak vest specialisation.

Any time you play Mount & Blade (any version), get curb-stomped early on through overconfidence or sheer bad luck, get dragged around helplessly, and escape...only to be captured again before you can walk ten feet. Repeat ad nauseum. I've deleted many a save game due to this.

One more moment for me for tonight: Whenever an enemy pyro or worse, Demoman, is outside the spawn area. Actually, even worse, Medic+Heavy. Not as bad when you almost always play demoman, but still death-spam inducing.

I actually played a game in gold rush where, somehow, I have no idea how, about 4 heavies and 2 medics got to the entrance to our spawn room and just stood there, killing anyone who came out.

They didn't move the cart too much at first, but then used the opportunity to move it to the first cap. I changed to spy and backstab'd all of them. Felt good.

Another TF2 one; I'm somehow the one that sucks when, while I'm playing as a medic, the pyro that I'm healing runs directly into a chokepoint and dies which is somehow my fault according to him.

Of course, ranked server and all that which might be why they can't admit that they fucked up. In the game earlier, I was actually one of the most effective people on my team due to being the medic.

A squadron of FACs gets wiped while running down some Precursor ships, with a fairly even exchange of tonnage. I send my jump tender in to pick up life pods after jumping the FAC carrier out of the system, and in the process come within 10m km of the heaviest Precursor vessel, at ~12,500t, with armor thickness of 3. I launch ten WH4 missiles. They all impact, no result. I launch ten more. The same. I launch the last 20, and continue on my way, as the launchers were all box-type. 40 hits, of 4 damage each, on a 3-thick armor band. No module damage. At all. When the ship (if I recall my measurements correctly) wasn't large enough to have enough surface area for each missile to crater without penetrating.

Going after the Diablos on Monster Hunter Tri. I got my ass handed to me by that screeching motherfucker so many times. Even after up my strategy each attempt, it just kept fucking destroying me. This especially sucks when you've been going up against it for god knows how long, you can it's about to die, and it rages on you before you can even drink a goddamn mega potion.

Also for MH3, going up against that huge ass sand dragon(forgot it's name) that only comes around every so often, getting extremely close to finally defeating it, but having the whole hunt get fucked over by a single inexperienced guy in your party who keeps dying.

And I can't believe no one has mentioned this one:

Those energy sword wielding assholes in Halo.
