Nonstandard Military Equipment
« on: September 30, 2011, 09:38:58 am »

"Recruits, we've spent a long time with swords, axes, hammers.  We've spent some time on the crossbow.  You've learned to dodge and strike the enemy hard, and suddenly.  Today, we embark on a journey into the REAL weaponry, weaponry that will make the Mountainhome of Nightrings stronger, and may make you a legend to be engraved upon the walls of Mountainhomes to come".

"No, Urist McTicklefetish, not that.  Never that".

I'm sure one of you can top this, but it's my first utterly ridiculous "weapon" and I confess - I lol'd.

If he actually kills the pikegoblin with it,  I think it'd probably top the guy that killed a bronze colossus by tossing a fluffy wambler at it's head and decapitated it.

We´re not talking about arming dwarves with iron whips here, are we?

No, just fuzzy, comfy socks.  Unfortunately, Young Urist fell over from exertion shortly afterwards and the pikeman ran away (presumably laughing while nursing a wicked bruise on his forearm).
