I've had a Goblin siege get into the fort (they're all VERY dead now) and I've now got dwarves repeatedly going "cancels Fill Pond: Job item lost or destroyed" and i have no idea why.  It seems focussed around the dining room (I'm assuming it's jumping between dwarves as their job que turns idle, but it's repeating over and over to the point it'll cycle between two of them so fast it flashes across the message tab at the bottom of the screen before going to two other dwarves and repeating again.  I've tried disassembling the well, making sure there isn't a pond zone on it, checking there are no other pond zones as well.  It's a real headscratcher.

I didn't put this up in the bug forum, as I'm not certain if it is a bug or just a single thing somewhere I've missed somewhere

Try forbidding all buckets, waiting a second, then unforbidding. If that doesn't work press R and scroll up to the zones. Check to see if you have any other pond zones.

Nope.  Just did a block ban on everything, let it run for a moment so it could clear the backlog of denial messages, then unbanned everything.  Still getting them.

I have a similar error thing going on except it's because I'm using a water battery which needs refilling and the constant motion of water occasionally causes a cancel. Not as often as yours though...

Alright.  It's definitely not the same cause, my reactor (F4) runs off the top of an aquifer, so there's no need to refill it.

I found it. Will edit with screenshots.

E: Eh, screw screenshots. Press 'j' for jobs, scroll up until you find Fill Pond - Inactive

There should be two of them. Scroll over each one, press 'b' to zoom to the zone and delete the zone. You need to remove both of the zones, but the messages will stop.

Yup, that got it.  No idea how those spots got declared as zones, let alone ponds.
