10 hours before the flight departs, and looks like we were able to play another turn after all!

July 26

CENPAC: We've had information on Pearl Harbor's status for 2 consecutive days now. Both days had Pearl reported to have over 130 ships in the bay (but slightly different numbers) with multiple battleships and destroyers. No CVs. Today the aircraft numbers almost doubled from yesterday(and 4x compared to 2 weeks ago) but no CVs.

The Allies might be or might not be up to something. I believe that the USN CV fleet is off or nearby Pearl. It is also still very possible that it is still sitting there, just no CVs happened to be sighted. Considering that the CV fleet did arrive there 2 weeks ago already, I believe that it is a very real possibility that the CVs have left today or yesterday and are heading somewhere - to raid CENPAC or near Japan, to Australia or SOPAC, perhaps even to support an offensive?

Australia: all quiet so far.

The opposition clearly has to realize that it cant just wait around forever. But when shall they strike?

I've been busy moving and just had the joy of reading over a full page of reports.

Excitement soon? Heck, Imperial ground troops invading the Australian mainland sounds like excitement to me!!! :)

While there is a pause in the action, I thought I'd just drop in to ask, how much micro-management is there in this game? Thanks :)

If a bajliongram is the measurement for the heaviest weight known to man, it has about 10 of those :)

What kind of level does it go to? Like, do you have to manually refuel every single vehicle and reload them all manually?

Not entirely sure about the land war, but I think every hex/unit has supplies. Units are division/regiment level (e.g. SeaBees, Aviation Support, Marine Divisions, etc). You manually need to cart supplies to them by loading them on boats. All fleets are defined by you from hundreds (thousands?) of ships available to you. All air units have tons of different missions and parameters, search arcs, secondary missions, etc etc that you can define. They have fatigue levels that you need to keep an eye on.

I was fairly overwhelmed with the Guadalcanal campaign, which is maybe a couple of months, and has only a fraction of the entire map :)

There is a fair bit of micromanagement at the unit level (missions and stances are usually pretty parametrisable), it's just the scale of it. You're literally comanding every single unit, port and base in the entire Pacific Theatre. But I've barely played, and honestly, don't feel I have the time to do anything more serious than a small campaign here and there.

Good news is that, according to the forums, Erriki has been online lately. My guess is life got in the way a bit, being summer break for most people. Although I really really really really hope this starts back up! Was looking forward to the conquest of Australia!

I just want to see the First Japanese Kangaroo Cavalry Division. That's a thing that can happen, right?
