Well, this was getting nowhere. They had tightened up the police line with a few more cars and it looked serious, with gas masks, body armor, rifles... the whole shebang. The crowd was being drawn back a block in case the fog decided to spread.

The news had been reporting all sorts of things about gunshots and combat within the fog. No way of getting past that line now though, and just now she didn't think she wanted to. Just another strange event in a strange city... how could this possibly be related to the serial killings?

Wesley woke up to the sound of sirens.  Not the normal Doppler effect of an emergency vehicle flying by his house in pursuit of a fire or domestic abuse call, no.  This sound wouldn't go away.  He lifted himself from the table, the papers from the morning still splayed out haphazardly. Rubbing his eyes as he heads towards the nearest window, lifting one of the shades and peeking outside.  Nothing.

Suddenly talking.  Female.  Needless to say it was a shock to hear one in his own home.  Channel 5. The television of course.  Wesley slumped on the couch in his living room.  A small flat screen broadcasting the events.  Slowly focusing as he becomes more awake.

"... unknown phenomenon..."  Wesley stirred and rolled his head back, what now another Montauk Monster? "..As red fog covers ..."

Ugh the sirens.  Wesley reaches for the remote and flips the channel.  "..red fog.." *click* "..unexplained fog in.." *click* "breaking news as a strange red fog..." *click*

Wesley got up and made his way to his study.. "red fog." He smirked "I'm sure I can figure out what's going on with a simple google search."

The creature backed off after receiving several bullets from the mysterious person who ran into the store. Not wanting to be at a disadvantage Henry started firing wildly at the creature. The recoil was far more that he had expected, but it was a prototype. The first shell flew at the wall across the street, fracturing the brick wall as the steel wad shattered into the stone. His arm now in the air fired again. The recoil pushed his arm inward with a great pull, he felt his shoulder pop for a moment and an intense shot of pain rolled down his arm. He clenched his arm with the left and fired again. The creature leaped forward only to have the steel shot tear at its left cheek. It howled sporadically in pain as it held its face and shoulder where the stranger had shot. One last shot he thought. He fired. The shot connected with its face tearing it to shreds. Blood flew backwards in a wide arch. Hopefully that was it, this wasn't what he expected.

He turned to the person who ran in as he started doing up his shirt sleeves. He noticed the long scratches that the creature left on Zack. "Shit. Those gashes look bad. I'll go grab the first aid kit, I saw it earlier. Do you know what the hell that was?"

This red fog. . .it caused everything from hallucinations to paranoia. The exact cause of it is unknown. . . .but is has been seen before. In this fog, there is something that human minds can barely comprehend. From the walls of the buildings in the fog came the sound of children. . .laughing. . .playing. . .mocking. These, however, were not mere hallucinations. These were drifting on the edge of reality, but they were most certainly there. And they were dangerous.  ((Also, a public service anouncment. IF YOU WANT TO BE A PART OF THE AGENCY THEN FUCKING CONTACT ME I'M THE FUCKING GM OF THE AGENCY. Thank You. That was a public rage announcment. Seriously. Contact me. I AM GMING FOR A FUCKING REASON.))

New enemy, red fog. Also i give agents orders. That's what I meant. Also, going to be putting up more world events too. Minor player drive is part of the game, just no bs, and no major game changers.

Zack is about to say something when he hears the children's voices, and a shiver goes straight up his spine before he says "Whatever it is out there is either a hallucination, or something entirely not human. My whole body is screaming for me to run right now, but I know if we go out there we will die." He looks at the man with a look of complete calm in his eyes, and simply waits for his reply as he scans the room holding his gun up.

"First things first, your bleeding." Henry disappeared around the corner and returned a moment later with a first aid kit. "This might hurt, but I need to bandage the wounds. You'll have to have it disinfected later, there isn't enough here for something that big." Without thinking Henry started applying the bandages, but because of his lack of sleep the amount of pressure he applied was erratic, but he still applied the bandages alright. "It's clearly more dangerous here than either of us expected. I'm not sure why you're here, but I suggest we leave, we are only a few blocks into the fog. If we hug the walls and move in a straight line we'll make it out. When you're OK to move I suggest we do that." Henry put on his suit again. "Staying here might draw more of those things. We need to stay calm."

Henry started hearing something behind them... a woman crying in the backroom just beyond the door. It sounded as if she was saying something. The voice was familiar, but distorted and angry. Henry took a step back and turned to the wounded man. "We can introduce ourselves later, but I suggest we run. There wasn't anyone back there before!" The thing stumbled out of the backroom with its unnaturally long limbs shambling underneath it. It's blond hair shimmered dully in the pale red mist, and it's face was mostly intact. It called out as it lurched forward slowly.

"Yoooouuuuu---..." Its voice was low, but unmistakeable. Henry knew the creature, and he wanted to run from it.

Zack jumped up, and pushed through the sudden cascade of pain as he lifted his pistol, and pulled the trigger letting three bullets fly, but not towards the creature. As the man watches the bullets hit the window, and go through cracking it all throughout, and a moment later Zack goes smashing through the window his arms crossed over his chest, and his feet tucked up. After a few quick seconds he lands on the ground with a jolt, and another flood of pain rushes over him as he turns, and lets loose the last six bullets in his clip at the beast before screaming "Run you idiot !", and sprinting down the street sticking close to the walls as he goes, and tossing the pistol down a drain as he runs.

((Well I no longer have a gun, but we got away, and I now have a severe slash wound across my back that is barely bandaged))

They ran along the walls, and through the fog they could make out what appeared to be childrens shadows running around. They made the sounds of a childs gleeful laughter as they chased each other back and forth. Then they stopped. A lone young voice rang out. "Hello mister. . .would you like to play with us?" And the smell of death pervaded the air.

"Shut the hell up you little Demons !!" Zack screamed at the voices, and its compatriots as he took a low fighting stance, and waited for the things to respond to him.

The shadows seemed to grow bigger, till their tops were blotted out by the fog. The voice grew with the size as well, "But mister, we just want someone else to play with.". The shadow began to extend to the ground as well.

"Come on! Run damn it! You can't fight shadows like that! We need to get out of here, to the light!" Henry pulled at Zack's arm. "It's only a few more buildings away. We can make it."
