Zack noticed a bright light down the street ahead of him, and decided that it would be best to see if anyone was still alive for as he could see everyone was either hiding in nearby apartments or already outside of the fog. With a quick push he leaps over the counter, and lands on the other side where he crouches down, and slowly walks up to the door. He pushes the handle, and slowly swings open as he brings his gun up, and slowly walks out into the street, and heads for the light. He walks for only a minute or two before he sees the light coming from some weird device in front of a store. He rushes over to a nearby indent with large dumpsters in it, and presses his back up on the wall while yelling "Hello is anyone in there ?"

Something was in the shadows at the edge of the light, shifting it's weight as it inched towards the light. The fleshy blood covered creature had to be about six feet tall with massive claw like limbs draping from its back. It stood there staring at the blinding white light as if in a trance, but it didn't move closer, it seemed puzzled. What was surprising was that this creature was wearing a shirt and pants. The bloody white shirt on its back was in tatters, with a massive gap where the claws were. Its face shone as if there was a light film on its skin, but the face otherwise seemed human. A shadowy figure dashed into a nearby alley and called out. The creature's gaze jumped at the new sound. It screeched loudly as its back claws flared over its head.

"Run! It saw you!" Henry shouted as he haphazardly tossed off his suit jacket. He stumbled out the propped open doors gesturing his right hand and fumbling with the buttons on his right sleeve as he went. Being careful to avoid pulling the flat electrical wire that ran from his glove to what would normally be a trigger he rolled back his sleeve to reveal a 20 gauge strapped to his right arm. His company would be pissed if they knew he kept a few of the designs for himself. Too late to not use it now. Shame that it didn't have much ammunition, once this clip is done he would have to make a run for it. The shotgun's hammer cocked as Henry stopped gesturing.

((I said the creature was there... Oh well...))

Zack barely noticed as the creature jumped out into the street, and he barely had time to think before it was at him, and it slashed several long gashes across his back. Zack fell to the ground, and lifted his pistol towards the creature quickly pulling the trigger four times with two of the bullets flying past him, and the other two striking it in the shoulder, and ripping through. It howled, and backed off in pain as Zack ran for the door, and slid through barely missing the man with the 20 gauge strapped to his arm.

((Just want to point out that this RP is based mainly on investigating, not combat. Although its nice to see player's taking intiative, combat will generally be last resort.))

Alex got up and ran, seeing some mutated-looking creature start walking out of the fog. He uncertainly grabbed a branch, and then deciding it wouldn't do him any good to try to fight, ran again, starting uncertainly but picking up speed partway through, as the creature started to ru after him. People were yelling and calling everywhere, there were a few screams of terror and agony, and he heard a gunshot or two. He really had no time to meditate on this though, the only thing on his mind  was that he had to run, run, run!

IT'd been a while ince he'd started running, and the exertion was slowing him down. He kept goign though; it has chased him into the fog, he didn't know what dangers would get him if he stopped. He was stopped rather suddenly thoug, as he barreled into something. Oh god, was it another monster? OH GO- no, it was some guy wearing a pillowcase as a gas mask. "Oomph! Oh, god, sorry, but... OH CRAP THE THING IS STILL COMING!" Alex started to get up to his feet.

((Depends on where you want your character to be located. I don't really count The Fool's fight, considering he seem's to think this is some kind of Sci-Fi setting where people have shotguns under their arms.))

As soon as Robert heard of the mysterious Red Fog, he made his way to the Old Quarter immediately. The Old Quarter was one of the first parts of the city, made a hundred or so years ago. There was a heavy Gothic influence there, and he disliked going there due to the creepy atmosphere.

As he arrived at the entrance to the Old Quarter, he was stopped by a Police Officer. "Sir, im afraid you'll have to go back. This area is contaminated, and the matter is currently being looked into.", Robert frowned and said "Investigator Jacob Charleson, im here to look around." he quickly flipped open his new wallet and closed it. The cop was new to the force, although Robert didn't know that. The cop then said "Uh, okay then. You can go past.", Robert nodded and made his way past the line and into the dense fog.

(( :) I'll try and lower the amount of sci-fi references, but the gun under the arm thing isn't really genre specific. Besides I think it is a bit more personal to the character to have something like that, even if it does serve the same purpose.))

((Yes, but running around the city with a shotgun under your sleeve is incrediblly silly. Again, I don't tolerate pulling weapon's out of nowhere.))

Tor walked deeper into the mist, a cacophony of screams and yells come at him from every direction, their origin impossible to locate in the fog. Well this is damn pleasant Tor thought to himself as he walked down the street, blinking away the caustic tears that blurred his vision. As the supernatural mist burned his lungs he began to wonder why the hell he'd bothered to quit smoking all those years ago, not like he was going to live long enough for it to matter. Walking deeper and deeper into the red tinged fog his train of bitter thought was interrupted by something, small, vociferous, and bloody barreling into him.

Tor twisted and caught the manshape on his shoulder, his vision blurred and the fog too dense to tell whether it was a person or... well it wasn't different to class the alternative. The impact was surprisingly light and Tor staggered backwards with a grunt as the humanoid rebounded off of him, giving Tor a moment to take stock of him/it. Thankfully it seemed normal, just a scared, bleeding, and painfully thin kid.

"Oh, god, sorry, but... OH CRAP THE THING IS STILL COMING!" The teenager said as he scambled up from the ground, wide eyed and shaking with fear or pain, probably both.

"Hold still boy!" Tor commanded as the teenager primed himself to run again "What's coming?"

Stomping feet and a thunderingly inhuman roar told him far more eloquently than the young man ever could have. "Ah" Tor whispered "That." Reaching under his coat he grabbed the twenty-years young revolver from his shoulder holster and pointed it in the direction of the oncoming sound, steadying the heavy pistol with his free hand.

"What's your name kid?" Tor asked with deceptive calm as he waited for something to shoot at.

((Errr I kind of just did that, but it is mentioned in his bio though. Is this okay?))

((Yeah, your character has a good reason to have a small weapon like a pistol on him.))

Alex got up and was about to sprint away again, but the man said in a commanding voice for him to sit still. He wasn't going to do so, but then he heard another roar from that... thing... and saw that the man had a gun and was pointing it at its direction... he'd be safer here than running away. THe man asked his name. "A-A-Alex." The woudnd on his back was bleeding all over his back and was hurting like all unbelievable heck. He put a hand to it indvertently, which simply made it sting more. "Ow oh god oh god ohgodohgod"

"Alex? Alright, I need you to do something for me." Tor said soothingly, not taking his eyes off the source of the pounding sounds. "Whatever you see, whatever it does, don't run until I fire. Can you do that?" The blinding fog would limit his effective range with the pistol to maybe twenty feet, and Tor didn't plan on shooting until it was within fifteen- Recoil would ensure that he only had one shot at this. If the kid ran it would probably split the thing's focus, and Tor needed to know exactly where this thing was intending to go.

The pounding sound was very close now, and Tor imagined the sound of the creature's breathing reverberating in the mist... 20 seconds? less?

"O-o-o-ok" Alex didn't really think he had much of a choice- he was too tired now to even run very fast, and this guy was pretty much his only chance at survival. The strange mutated thing ran at him, and he was now just paralyzed in fear, it was getting closer now... closer... closer. . . It had got pretty close and Alex hoped he shot soon.
