Throne room:

Laythe thought for several more moments, then uttered her answer.

"At this point in time, I don't see why I should support such a frivolous action. And I hardly thing bringing more Hatcuri customs would make you more well received. So, your request is denied. Leave now, Rectyl."

"Well, I haven't seen it, but they say it looks like a man. Although it is also a dragon. It looks like a man, but it has the spirit of the dragon- it breathes fire, you know. I don't know if it has a name"

Kathos crossed the city on his horse and stopped, as usual, right in front of the palace. He talked to the first guard he saw.

"I need to have an audience with the Queen. I must speak of important matters with her."

Oh. Right, yeah, you could raise a flag. That would be a pretty unambiguous way of signalling your occupation to observers. Ok, so John knows you are in there.

"If my queen so wishes..."

Retcyl left, as always through the ante-chamber and by the gate. As he passed by, he saw Kathos entering. He nodded his head towards him as he left.

Hmm...He couldn't establish a charity..Well he would have to think of a different excuse. Why would the poor come in to the Embassy...The embassy also functioned as a higher-classed tavern...And hatcuri culture was easy to access in the Embassy, obviously.

Wait....What was one thing the hatcuri had never exported to the outside world? Religion! Yes, the ways of the priests and gods and spirits had never been seen here. Yes the wandering-priests of Oritziuem sometimes made converts in these lands, but those humans often left for Hatcur...But it could work. There was a god for everything under the sky and even above it in Fakarralism. Yes...would the queen deny the sacred act of worship? So what if some humans began attending services? Actually, a few might genuinely join the religion; power did after all come with piety.

Well this was all only thoughts until Retcyl acted. Perhaps he should send for some priests from Hatcur...Especially for a certain priest of the Learning God...

Get every priests in the Expedition to ready their services. Wait for another messenger to arrive from the Gang (who really needs a name).

Kathos left his longsword at the door and entered in the throne room. He bowed, and smiled.

"I have good news, milady. While I was traveling around Ligoria, trying to learn about the lands near our kingdom, I met a lady who had received a letter sent by a man named... Avitus. I asked about it, since no one had informed me the kingdom was sending letters to the nobles near our lands." There was a hint of sarcasm in his voice at the moment he said 'since no one had informed me'. "She told me about the offer in that letter, and she said she was going to refuse because she did not want to loose her independance. I talked with her about it, and... She accepted to sell her parcel at the miserable price of four ducats. Even better, she did not want to stay in her lands or get a title in Ligoria's court. This parcel now belongs to me, milady. I have the paperwork here..."

He showed her the paper.

"And I can give it to Ligoria within the hour, if you want. My personnal guard is currently guarding the new castle, to prevent any treachery."

"Very good Kathos. I thank you for doing your duty. If you want, I could provide some of the funds required for the transaction, otherwise, unless you have anything else to say, you may leave now, Kathos."

"Providing some of the funds would be helpful, milady. Thank you for your time."

Give the parcel to Laythe and return to the estate.

Laythe sent a couple of messengers out after Kathos left. One was for her advisors, the other for Tala.
