"Yes, perhaps you can. As for the money issue, well think about it. The smuggling ship I just acquired is fitted for smuggling goods. We can use it to purchase materials and sell it elsewhere...Like purchasing some  Swastamikian opium and selling it off to our Bleeding Fists friends in Ligoria...Thus giving us a profit and potentially weakening Laythe's control of the city. First however, we would need capital. Where can we get capital? Well the Emperor of course. If he hears about our situation with the Dragon Empire, he would surely send us funds."

...You clever little snake. I see what your planning, and if anybody but an Imperial seeking to control the Storm Coast thought it up I would clap them on the back and give my full support.
William's smile didn't falter or flicker as his mind raced.
"Hmm...That sounds like it would work, but it would take a bit to get the money to invest in it. I can spare a ducat, and perhaps more, if need be, after a brief "meeting" with a few nobles that I know of. I could probably get you more...But I'll need my regiment."

Nobles? The only only people William could possibly know are either in Ligoria or in Lonemine...Both places where he would be killed on sight...William Varaum...Sounded a lot like that Elv bloodline, Vadud. Probably a coincedence. Or perhaps these Varaums have a pint of Elv blood...Something to think about later.

"That would not be needed. You see, the Emperor is willing to give to his servants, especially those who have served much. But if you still wish, then yes, go and meet with your noble friends. First however, where should we drop you off?"

As he waited for William to reply, Retcyl started writing a letter...

"Right where you picked up my men will work. I've got a gift for you as well...something to cement our freindship..."

"Is it a stab in the face?" Retcyl sayed drolly.

Retcyl continued writing.

((Oh I LMAO'd at that one. Yes of course it is...but really, no it isn't.))

William gave a chuckle and smiled.
"No. It's a dragon's skeleton."

Dragon...As in Hatcuri? No, no he means one of those huge, winged creatures. All extinct now, of course. Killed of generations ago.

"Truly? Thank you. A question though, will you be bringing your steward with you?"

Retcyl continued writing his letter. A few more lines and it should be complete...

William's brow furrows for a moment.
"Who? Oh wait, that scholar? To tell the truth I haven't even talked with him as of yet, I'll have to speak with and him and get to know him before I leave, but...I dunno. Can I leave in the morning instead of right now? I need to get some sleep and have John stitch up my arm, as well as make a few plans."

[micelus]

"Yes...But you won't get a chance to disembark here. I'm ordering the fleet to move very soon."

Retcyl finally finished his writing. Perfect. Now for a title...A Request to the Emperor and His Court. Yes, that would work.

"Where are you disembarking next?"

[micelus]

"My new island...Don't know what to call it yet. Oritzauym, perhaps Locaniltym is honour of my associate. Or perhaps Varaumitetin." Retcyl said the last one jollily.

[filiusenox]

"Hmm...will I be able to take a boat back to mainland after a few weeks? Oh and why do all of your names end in "N" or "M"?"

[micelus]

"Yes, easily. I might even be able to senf you off a few days after we arrive. If things work out..."

[filiusenox]

"Well, are we going to build a city or something on it?"

[micelus]

"Not a city...more like a stronhold and consulate. To act as a bastion of Imperial influence."
