He was getting rather tired of people figuring out he was lying, bluffing, or going to deceive them.
It occurs that the captain is a smuggler, who deals with lying bluffing deceitful bastards like you for a living, and probably is one himself. Also it seems this man just had hidden depths, and perhaps your mask slipped for an instant- bad luck, this time. Definitely.
"I need to get the rest of my stuff from my room first..."
The captain nods, uncaring.
Gregor sighs, and says "well if there is nothing good, then I'll hunt down the ships here, will there be any reward for capture? or is it kill then all?"
The bounties are all ordinary ones; bring the target to the issuing authority, dead or alive, receive payment. You know the drill.
Have my guards encircle the Shriner from both sides undetected. We need to talk-try to keep him from running-no swords drawn yet.
Not a problem. You lead the man into a alleyway, and your guards sneak up behind him. [6] The man notices their presence, shrugs, and calls out to you. Before your guards can react he sits himself down on a crate and starts chewing on something. Looks like a stick. Smells
herbal. He nonchalantly explains that he is a massive coward, so he surrenders completely, and will tell you anything.
Meet with the gun seller. Wear some light armor (chainmail).
[6] You visit the Serpent's Pier, only to find the gunsmith's boat not there. He comes and goes, explains a totally legitimate businessman who is taking a break from hauling crates off of one of the docks other totally legitimate merchant vessels- No one knows when he will be where. As you talk, you hear a boat cutting through the water, and the gunsmith's boat, completely unlit, glides into its usual docking place. In a few moments the boat is tied up properly, and the gunsmith appears on deck. He looks surprised to see you. After a few moments of contemplation, he wordlessly waves his servant towards you.
"My master worries; has a malfunction occurred?"
