- Aurora

Though I'd like to know how the miners on mercury have managed to soup up their mass driver to fire the packets at 14% of the speed of light. Europa has only managed to tweak theirs to 7%.

Packet speed is a function of the percentage of driver capacity being used. In other words, if you have one driver, that can support up to 5000 tons a year. If you're sending the full 5000, the speed is 1000 km/s. (incidentally, the built-in drivers on CMCs are always just enough for their mining capacity, so their speed is always 1000). If you drop say, 10 drivers on a planet but only have a handful of mines running, producing a 1 ton packet as in the example, you're only using 1/50000th of the capacity, so the drivers can accelerate your tiny can of rocks into a world-killing relatavistic Hammer of the Gods. Or at least, they could if Aurora allowed that.  :P

Ah. That would be it then. Incidentally they can be colony destroying rocks of doom if you remove the last mass driver on the recieving colony.  :D Although I think steve has programmed in are you sure prompts now to help stop that.

For some reason, when I take a screenshot in Skyrim, it doesn't copy it to the clipboard like normally, but instead makes a 3 MB .bmp in the skyrim folder, which I can't open using any of my paint programs or even the generic picture previewer.

It's a "feature" of the game. I prefer taking screenshots through Steam, because the .bmp is hard to work with.

I'm incapable of doing that..  :-X

Its a stupid feature, to be honest.  Why can't it just save it to my goddamn clipboard like every other game?  :-\  I can't even get it to convert.

Actually, the steam screenshot feature works even with non-steam games that are run through steam, I think.

Anyway, you should install irfanview, it'll open anything, and convert to almost anything.

Hmm unstable looking reptilian adventurer type with a flaming sword, and really expensive custom made jet black armor who happens to have killed dozens of dragons and has become some kind of local hero made above the law by the local governor himself?  I think I'll imply that I'm rich and connected while he isn't for the thousandth time in front of his house.

*shink*

EDIT: Made more bandwidth friendly.

Didn't work either.  The picture came out VERY skewed and in black and white.
