Turn 0

The city of Winterdale, a pleasant city that lies at the hub of seven major trade routes. Everyone knows that Winterdale is best known for its taverns, where a man can get a good ale at any tavern in the city. Then there is the thing Winterdale is second best known for is the quality of its women, but lets not get into that now. Now the third and most important thing Winterdale is known for, is the quality of its bards. Bards come to Winterdale from all over to make a few coin at the various taverns, although due to the influx of bards there's stiff competetion. And where there is stiff competetion, trouble appears.

You just so happen to be the thing Winterdale is third best known for, you and five other bards you have met on the road a few day's ago have agreed to form a troupe. Of course you know nothing about eachothers act, and you only have a foggy idea of what the other's do. But whats the worst that can happen? You have not even a coin to your name, although in the city of Winterdale a bard can easily make money.

You and your new traveling companions stand at the gates of Winterdale, the six of you walk in and begin walking around. At almost every street corner there is a bard performing. You spot a fire swallower, a man reciting poetry, and a small group of bards playing a song. You suddenly realize your hungry, perhaps its time to look for a job?

The dwarf gestures for his party to follow, walks into the center of the town, pulls out his lute, and begins to busk. He busks so hard.

Talagra pulled her coat a little more snug. It was colder here than she imagined...hopefully she could find some work here. She wondered if the rumors about the city were true...apparently, Winterdale was once an ancient outpost of some long forgotten Empire, holding some horrible evil underneath it...then again, it was a rumor-well, even if it was...

Explore the city a bit-looking for rumors of it's true history.
