Aha, well I have access to the book, so I'll get to work today.
I have no idea what I'll play in a steampunk setting, though... I'll have to think of something. :P

Hmm. Would you allow use of the Steam-Punk Dreadnaught or...Burglar/ Minor Magician. Also, What are the state of firearms in this setting? still at Flintlocks and Gonnes or are there simple repeaters?

Also Are we allowed to divvy up the Device Power into multiple items (In my case Rings)

Question Edit: 2x Combo: Would Magic Rings use the Hard to lose or easy to lose Advancement cost for Devices?

@Riccto: The rules say we are allowed to have multiple devices. And Im fairly certain rings would be hard to get off a non-helpless person.

Also, finished mah character sheet, though I might change blast into something that has blast as an alternate power.

Havent written the story yet, but he is an ex-Iron Guard mechanic and a member of the Alchemist's Circle, he has developed ties to pretty much every faction, and has taken up looking for magical artifacts after getting his hands on the device. He has at some point managed to temporarily get his hands on some of the scrolls and picked up enough from them to create artifacts himself.
Blast also needs to be written in somehow.

Cool. Actually really cool considering that I was planning on running a character that's a cat-burglar with a keen interest in collecting magical artifacts and had come into contact with a number of magical rings. I think there may be a intresting dynamic going on then :P

Its a good reason for us to team up until we come across one though.

Exaaactly. So would maybe a couple of lvl 1-2 Devices would be reasonable? I was thinking Regeneration, Blast Or Strike Or Enchanced Strength, Invisibility, Snare, Dimmentional Pocket, Maybe Dazzle, Maybe some type of Super Movement and Protection or Shield. I was going for almost a Street-level Hero that has all kinds of minor canips and skills that he uses to rob people blind.

Sorry I haven't posted in a bit!

Yes, the Device power can be divided up into multiple items; magic rings would be hard to lose (unless they're loose or something), weapons technology is at flintlocks, gonnes, cannon, and crossbows (as well as swords and pikes for gentry and guards, respectively) but simple repeaters and chemical guns that fire shards of poisoned glass, for example, are among what the Circle has released in the past.

The Dreadnaught and Burglar are both doable.

Alternate Burglar Build- I kinda like this one a bit more because he seems a bit more capable without the fewer (but still potent) rings

You know, I'd be worried if the piercing attack wasnt ranged and the affect insubstantial wasn't melee.
Right now I am imagining a dude with a grappling hook attempting to chase a flying energy being to punch it though.

Anyway, I might take electrical control with stun as an alt(on the other hand, aura strike would be funny in energy mode). Would have to scrounge up a point from somewhere though....or I could go with a plan I originally had and lower the device to Restricted 1 and to only work with electrical control.

Next Ring has to be  a dimensional pocket so this can happen.
