No my point is that while a system is fine in theory, it has to work. If you all vote for one that can be broken as easily as Tari's unpolished one can, it's not going to work.

No one looks at the long term, nor do they look for HOW to break it. I broke trade because i was trying, terenos can do the same with combat systems

Yeah, i was one of those ^.^

The upgrade system already does what everyone wants from this XP system. The issue i have with unit XP systems is that if you have a rank 4 or 5 unit, you still require at least equal numbers to your opponent to ensure it doesnt die. So you're then cannon-fodder'ing your army. The amount of time required to get a unit that high is absurd as well. The odds anyone will have units reach a high rank are slim. This also leads to the sense that units should be 'saved' in battle to attempt to rank them up. ARMIES IN THIS GAME WERE MEANT TO BE DISPOSABLE.

And on the note of those 2 people that want to simply kill things better - their units will never survive long enough to do so

This system is better suited for commander/generals,not units

While experience's already pretty much covered for units by the upgrade system (especially given their transient nature), I still think some sort of system for generals would've been a good idea.
