No one would take guns to a duel in the early renaissance. And even if they did, the dude with the sword would be able to kill the guy with the gun ten times before he even managed to load the thing. And you couldn't keep the things loaded, the powder would crumble to pieces if not kept in a proper container.

I'd actually prefer flintlock pistols, but that's more 1700.


I'd just prefer it to be more everyone for themselves instead of "teams" like your either with the king or one of the outside forces.

Not saying that you couldn't be a "Weary" in case you didn't want to be a "Trubaldsome"

I already said that I would assist especially in a role as someone running something akin to the SCTG. The new proposals i made for the trade system (in my own testing) cut the income a player can make in the short term by about 40x from 30/season to about 10-15/yr. Having someone playing a faction for such a group also cuts the income of merchant players by removing market allowance.

My job in any game is to take the rules, break them, and see if they're fixable

Given how contested this issue is, it might be best to leave them open until tomorrow.
Eh, I doubt it really matters. We are all reasonable people, surely, and the line between High Medieval and Renaissance is blurry at best; if someone really wants some aspect from one or the other they should probably be able to get it in if they ask.

I take back what I said about high medieval winning. Seems that we'll be going Renaissance for the most part.

Do we actually have GM's yet? I could be a minor/sub-GM for some things if we have a shortage. I'd volunteer for a full GM role if I didn't have 3 RTD's to take care of.

You being a GM or sub-GM would be awesome methinks  :D

I'd be happy as a sub-GM too I'd even be head GM as long as all that meant was I had to update the OP with what you guys tell me to but I'd rather not, this does however seem to be the most pressing issue however, getting our GM's together so who actually wouldn't mind being a sub-GM or head GM just so we can have a pool to choose from?

I won't have time to GM properly, but I would have time for mechanics balancing and changes (like I said, that's not mentally draining for me).

Also, darn.  Missed the Med/Ren vote.  I say nay to magic - we can always come up with a good reason for killing off magic (perhaps, in defeating the Night Prince, they separated the demon/spirit world from this one, making magic impossible thereafter), but it removes a horribly difficult to balance feature that also leads straight into all sorts of swords and sorcery cliches I was never that happy with in the first place.
