Wow, that is quite an overhaul. Was waiting for this personally, the previous system felt like too much of a treadmill and the progression didn't make any real sense. This is shaping up to be a pretty neat game overall and I'm glad I got it.

'nother overhaul, the HUD looks gorgeous now. Beta .572 on the same page as above. They've also scaled the numbers back 10x, since it had been getting excessively large numbered.

I hate bumping a month-old thread...but I recently got this game and wanted to give my feedback.

I delayed getting this game because the unusual graphical style and lack of reviews had me skeptical, but it's actually turned out to be one of the most satisfying games I've purchased in a long time. The graphics quickly grew on me. Music is enjoyable. Mostly though, I love exploring unique landscapes, trying out different spells, hunting bosses and farming loot for upgrades...and just reveling in the whole experience.

Strongly recommend for fans of Metroid, Terraria, and similar 2D action/adventure platformers.

I might as well post it here too, since the thread isn't buried again yet. I've got a servery thing running of AVWW .905 right now, and the 1st continent wasn't finished last night, so its still plenty to do for the demo-wielding peoples. Make sure you go into network setting and change your name from default to something less silly. The IP is in the thread for Solifuge's stream in Play with your buddies.

AVWW stole at least part of the show at PAX East. It's being released for the full price of FIFTEEN US DOLLARS on the 23rd, so if you're hesitant but enjoyed the demo, now is a great time to pick it up!

Oh, definitely. Just wondering what everyone thinks of it now that it has "gone gold."

Still has MP bugs, but now they can get back to adding more stuff! Which should be good. Singleplayer hasn't changed much, but they upped the mission cap per continent and added achievements.

Also, Magma Rhinos!

Added New Elite upgrade to Rhino: Magma Rhino.

    Unlocked when 80 Rhinos have been killed.
    Has 75% Fire resistance instead of 75% Earth resistance.
    Leaves a huge trail of explosions behind it (like Urban Predator flame).
    Explodes when killed.
