........ Why isn't there a dwarf fortress mod and the multiplayer version of it?

We need hidden fun stuff, 50 types of stone, 50 types of ores, elephants, kobalds, goblins, and dragons.

A DF themed mod would be nice. Limited size extra deep maps would be my preference as the default maps aren't deep enough to fit everything in. I can dream can't I?

Nether is basically hell. To be honest I've been considering making a DF themed mod (IE, adamantine as a mineral as opposed to giant spires of adamantine in a magmasea specifically) but I've got a ways to go before I start work on that.

There's an in-the-works mod for infinitely deep maps, so that's one thing in favor of this idea.
