Is this Sadistic or just Dwarvenly?

One of my masons walled himself into the magma cistern, since he has no friends, I'm going to pump small bits of magma in a and watch his flesh slowly burn into the magma that will later be used to forge metals.
EDIT: The pump operator brought her baby to come watch.

Is he a good mason? That's the deciding factor. If he isn't, it's dwarfy, just get a hauler to take over his old job. If he is, it's masochistic - you're only hurting your fort, after all.

He actually had no masonry skills, he was an idler I made a mason to fix a leak that sprung in my magma cistern.

magma + rooms is what little dwarf girls do at home. Real dwarfs would drown that mason with honey badgers

I think the badgers would probably be dead by the time they went through a screw pump. Either that or the pump operator would run away because "OH SHIT THERE ARE BADGERS NEARBY!"

Of course magma isn't a cure for fun!  It's a primary source of fun!

Anyway, friendless idiot locked himself in a magma cistern?  Slowly searing him to death with globs of magma is one of only two dwarvenly ways of handling the situation.  The other is SWIFTLY burning him to death with LOTS of magma
