I've been attempting to learn electronics lately, and was wondering if anybody who already knows some electronics knows of some good software for making circuit diagrams(and possibly simulation?).  No requirements, as I'm still learning and don't even really know what might be useful.

Well I was hoping someone actually had a recommendation, but that'll work.

Traditionally, circuits are simulated using a piece of software called spice.  A lot of programs are built on top of spice to allow for easier (and more visual) design and testing.  I'm used to using Multisim, but it's very expensive.  For free, you could design it on paper or in Dia or something similar and then model it in spice.

Multisim is good. Electronics Workbench is the one that I generally use, though, and though it's slightly outdated it works fairly well on most older computers.

I used Electronics Workbench during my diploma, came free with the textbook. Was simple, even if you just know the bare basics.

I think most electrical engineers I know use spice (or a variant), not too hard to figure out.

If you are new at this field then try some simple software which help you to learn more and correct you. The Electronic Circuit Designer is a good software for new users. After learning all things for next step you can use the 'ExpressPCB' software, it's free and best for PCB simulation.

I suggest "open circuit design software".

I find it disturbing that two spambots have an opinion on what the best circuit design software is.

We used P-Spice at Uni. it was pretty straightforward stuff, at least I aced that class.
