I RETURN! Like so many dwarven ghosts.

So after a crushing 4+ months without touching Dwarf Fortress due to Terraria followed by Minecraft, they have lost their novelty as DF never can.  And I... return!

Now, as we all know, DF is entirely too big, nebulous, and OMGWTFBBQ to hope to truly survey.  So I ask you to synopsisize it for me like a good Recordkeeper.

Name the things i've missed (such as mods, wows, and holyurists) in my terrible absence.  Omitting anything native to DF itself, as I have the latest version, and am already enjoying the perils of beekeepsdwarfship.

Yes, community.  REMIND ME WHY WE ARE DWARVES!

A succession game finally managed to colonize Hell.  To the best of my knowledge, its the only succession game to do that.
