Is the exoskeleton of my forgotten beast really made out of cardinals?

Honestly I prefer the exoskeleton made of cardinals.   They all flap their wings and it can hover.

You can imagine it being covered with *engravings* of cardinals or something.

If you check out dictionary.com, you'll find the first meaning for cardinal isn't avian or colorful - the cardinal meaning of cardinal is thus:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Thus I read this beastie as having multiple sections of exoskeleton, most of it (but not all) being sleek and smooth.

That are the source of all these words - the cardinal color is named based on the color of their robes and so is the bird.

Somehow I find an exoskeleton made of ordained Catholic bishops to be an even more amusing prospect than one made of small birds. Maybe it can use its combined bishop-power to call down divine vengeance on your fort?

I read it as if cardinal refered to the directional meaning... a FB whose exoskeleton lined up with the compass directions.

So... what happens when it tries to turn, I wonder?

...Actually, I don't wonder. Sounds painful.

I'm curious what the barely conscious ai wrote about.
Well that went better than expected.  He went nuts and punched a rabbit to death, then the dogs and the whole dining hall ripped him to shreds.

It doesn't turn.  It walks sideways.
