(3) Using your mace, you break a window and take the garlic. (4) The walk back to the Writer's Room is oddly pleasant...No guards or thieves at all. Once at the door, you once again knock and once again the elf greets you.

"So what was that about?"
"Just had a craving for garlic."
"You know that garlic doesn't actually work right? Just a myth."
"Err...Well...Nevermind then, could we rent a room here.?"
"We?"
"Me and the dwarf."
"He went back to the inn."
"Oh...well just for me then."
"Sure...But you better be gone by dawn."

Man, our character is strange.  He breaks into places and tries to rob them, but ends up with nothing useful.

With little else to do, you ask for the room. The elf points you towards a door. You go inside and you find a cot. (2) the elf asks for 15 coins..So much for a bloody room...but your in no position to say no.


A few hours later the elf wakes you up and tells you to get out. Something about it being dawn, the elf said. You weren't really listening.

You are now back in the generic alley with all your items. You noticed on your way out that the vampire was gone.

Stats
Health: As good as gold
Hunger: Content
Tiredness: A little tired
Money: 62 coins
Location: Generic Alley.
Time: Dawn

You decide to get back to the inn to grab a bite, perhaps breakfast will be on soon? On the way, you remember about the vampire...You should get yourself checked by someone...Well you decide to ask the girl who just passed by. She says there aren't any marks.

When you arrive at the inn, you find a guard by the door...Strange there hasn't been a need for a guard for the inn for ages. Well you decide to go in anyway and find everything looking normal...Except that Lewis and Aless  are playing some card game. Breakfast is being served, and you take some. Some bread, cheese, ham, and water. Good enough. -3 gold used to pay for accomodations

Location: Horse on the Dust inn.

Unfortunately, your luck can't help other people's luck. You just watch and see.

As the game progresses, you are able to tell certain things about each player's...tells.

(6)(6)(5) Lewis strokes his beard or his chin as well as looking at his cards when he has a good hand. When he has a bad hand, he fidgets and sits straight. He also calls for a drink.

(5)(5)(2) You notice that Aless smiles slightly when she thinks she has a bad hand, and that when she's nervous she taps the table. When she has a good hand, she shuffles her hand or looks straight on to Lewis.

(4) vs (3)

Eventually, after 30 minutes of this, Aless wins.

"Bloody elf!" Lewis digs into his pockets and throws some coins towards Aless, who then quickly puts them into her bag.
