Yes, he was a president.

I remember being vaguely disappointed when he learned that he was not a bear who had an airship when I was little. My confusion over names presented itself rather early in life.

Edit: "The more hot air we have, the more lift we'll get!" If that isn't a metaphor for politics, I don't know what is.

Teddy Roosevelt was the most manly president America ever had.  Period.

Ahh sorry I forgot about that Teddy... Though to admit he doesn't use his airship all that often.

I think FPTP is the best system to have. As it is fair and you elect your own instead of the party choosing for you.

I hope those occupiers have warm clothing because the weather has no mercy during this time of year, almost makes you want global warming.

None of the places you listed fall into the realm of political debate in the american political sphere.

.... what?  I seriously don't understand.  They're things our politics are doing to us, but they're not political issues?

What you said wasn't a governing ideology, it was a vague complaint against bad stuff being bad.  They are non issues politically.  It's like complaining about a doctor who proscribes medicine when you have a fever instead of proscribing that you have a lower temperature.  Then you get a second opinion and he proscribes a different medicine.  Then you bitch about not having any choices.  If there was a third medicine that you are denied by the cruel two doctor system that would be a legitimate complaint.  But what you are asking for is for a doctor to proscribe that you no longer be sick.

Teddy Roosevelt was the most manly president America ever had.  Period.
He killed cougars with nothing but a knife and destroyed time-traveling Nazis for the good of all mankind. Oh, and there was also that one time he came back as a Dark Horse third-party candidate after his main party terms and nearly toppled the two-party voting system, using nothing but people's love for him.

FPTP is atrocious, through and through. For systems with more than three parties, take a look at Arrow's impossibility theorem. There are plenty of better alternatives, too -- even dropping all the ballots into a box and choosing one at random is 'better' than FPTP. Range voting and approval voting are much, much better and they completely eliminate vote-splitting. Mathematically, both have a significantly higher chance of electing an individual favored by the majority.

No that is a lie. You would rather have someone say that because you imagine yourself a, lets say, "Conservative" that you are obligated for AMERICA to vote for this guy.

I would rather vote for a person then a party that chooses someone.

Because if I don't like the person I can change my vote. With PR, you have no say over who is elected or not. None.

In before 'non-affiliated' ads pop up all over tv/radio telling you how cruddy candidate X is and how much better candidate Y is.  Oh wait... I think I'm late.

He did however deliver a 90-minute speech immediately after being shot. Bam!
