I try to sleep or wait until dawn, inside or outside, and it seems to just run for 24 hrs. Is this a known issue or am I having some other issue?

'Dawn' in DF means 'Just before it gets light', so it'll look like it's dumping you in the middle of the night.

Also, if you try it more than once in a row, it's always going to be 24 hours because you'll be starting and ending at the same time.

If you [T]ravel or just walk around a bit after sleep, you will notice it gets light. Or just sleep for another hour.
