(I'm not sure this was the right forum to post, but I think it fits in !)

I've had an idea with Minecraft, and I hope you like it too.
This is the basic idea :
Someone plays through a solo game, building stuff, roleplaying about what he builds, does, etc, until he dies. When that is done, he stops playing (or only to reset spawn and such), and gives the save out.
Then the other players must investigate his game and try, from what information they gather in the game (signs that he left, buildings, etc) understand what he was doing, creating, how he died... Rewrite his history. (Without worrying about dying)
This can be a collaborative effort, people sharing opinions, etc. The purpose of the first player is to create a logical and interesting world to explore and try to comprehend.
This until they get bored from the world or figure out most of the things, then another player starts creating a world.

To use it, you must have Minecraft 1.8.1 with no mods installed. Go to your AppData (type %appdata% in your search bar if you don't know where it is) and .minecraft folder, then extract the zip into .minecraft/saves.

Interesting idea. Could be quite a while between turns if people are careful. I will watch and maybe try this out later

I think these are seperate worlds.

As in, you explore OPs world, determine death and life, then start your own world. build stuff in that, die, pass on your world, repeat

Sure ! I think it should be most interesting if people exchange what they see, and try to figure out what happened together.
I've got to say though, this save isn't very interesting. But it should get the idea rolling

No. We are archeologists in his world. explore it, take pics, and figure out what killed him, and why the different structures were built. Take screen shots, post you conclusions, and then make a new world, build in it, explore a bit, and when you die put the save up for others to explore. they repeat this process.

 I could take the first turn if it helps to have an example

Objective: Determine the whereabouts of the Kynrael expedition to ademonis

First of all, I wish to ask who I offended to get sent after this missing expedition. Honestly, how am I supposed to rise up in the ranks when I am being forced to check upon an ill fated expedition?

Getting to buisness, I explored the site immeadeate to my landing area, finding little more than an improperly harvested tree


A few feet away stood another tree, also improperly harvested. Judging from the hole where the roots were, I am forced to come to the conclusion that they were using dynamite to cut down these trees, which you will recall is in violation of prinicpal seven of our charter "no unnecessary destruction of natural terrain"


nearby was a marker, no doubt intended to guide the supply caravans that were supposed to show up, but apparently never did. It led to a small collection of structures, 2 wood, and one brick


In between the two structures on the right, I have discovered another crater. judging from the gunpowder and other artifacts scattered near the site, the expedition was lost to either a Sneakitus Basterdus (creeper for the commoners), or a poorly conducted wood harvesting



the brick building stands uncompleted. The expedition was probably ambushed by the Basterdicus while travelling to the small shack that served as his sleeping quarters



The chest within the house contained little of note, save for a few pearls of a make I have never seen before.


The remaining shack is constructed a ways away from the "settlement" and is located on a ravine that clearly attracted the expedition's interest



Within the shack is a hatch and a ladder, leading down to the platform seen above



the chest contained nothing of note, some cobble and sticks, nothing more. The crevasse itself contains little of interest, though I am perplexed y this hallway. the windows are crenellated, as if to provide cover from ranged attacks, but look only upon the opposite side of the cavern. my personal belief is that they were constructed by accident, the miner simply digging to the side to ensure he did not dig too far into the dirt.

There is very little else of note here. The aformentioned pearls, a large number of craters near the trees, but nothing else

World construction in progress. watch this spaceOkay, something is wrong with my minecraft and it's a bit late for me to be messing around with it, especially since I have homework. I would reccomend someone else just go ahead and make their world and upload that
