You might want to just post them there, then.

Make a Note in that location, name it whatever you want, and then give them an order to patrol that point.

Ah, elven merchants, lovely.  I'll get some new meat for my dwarves and possibly some fresh wine and new barrels/bins.

Gobbo invasion too.  Let's see how fast elves can run in to my trade depot now, and how fast twenty iron-armored and iron-equipped speardwarves can kill my second goblin invasion.

And of course my mayor (and axelady) decides now is the best  time to go have a drink.

I think my mayor's playing a drinking game actually.  She did this the last time I was ambushed AND the first time I was invaded, except in the first invasion she finished her drink and went off to slaughter half of the goblins in quick succession afterwards.

That or she thinks she fights best drunk, and who am I to argue?

Total enemy count is 8 trolls, 15 pikegobbos, 15 axegobbos, one pikemaster, and one spearmaster.

I'm half tempted to change Gosmer Kor Ibruk's location and introduce the goblins to my friend Mr. Forgotten Beast, but I'd save scum before I did because it's cheating.

Think I should do that for the lulz?

She is a dwarf after all.

Sounds fun. Might as well, if you'd enjoy watching it.

Yeah, I think I will.  I saved, continued, opened up runesmith and am now changing our friend raven's coordinates to be right in the middle of the goblin army.  Let's see how they handle him!

The pikegobbos killed him, and then died from suffocating, just like my dwarves did.  But the trolls ignored him and attacked my speardwarves.  And then got utterly massacred.  The axegobbos have yet to attack.

Hm.  I just realized how much Warhammer Fantasy and Warhammer 40,000 have tainted my language.

Axegobbos are in complete and utter retreat.  Trolls are slain.  The invasion was fended off with only one casualty.

Momuz (mayor, axelady, drunkard who is very fond of bins) showed up and delivered a few choice guttings but otherwise was content to allow the other dwarves to increase their kill counts.

Gotta give elves credit for one thing-- they're fast on their feet, especially when being chased by trolls.  They all got in and only one of their animals got hurt (a horse got a leg broken), which slowed him down but my speardwarves handled that situation with aplomb.  And stabbings.

The elves brought plenty of wood for me, and I have plenty of gems (too much in fact, fills up sixteen bins and then some, including eight large gems) for them.

You know, seeing as they brought me lots of things I actually WANT this time, I'm gonna let the elves go off with some nice profit this time.  They're being useful for once.

Just so long as they don't see what i'm doing with all of this wood they've sold me.  *keeps them from the furnace level*

Don't trade them anything wood, either, they don't like that.

You can haul things to the depot in wood bins, but ensure that all the items inside are individually marked for trade and the bin itself is not.

I know that, last two times they were here they got pissed at me for the bins thing as I had forgotten.  But this time, they're leaving very happy with lots of shiny gems, and one high quailty steel pot (which I made thinking it would hold honey, but apparently I need an earthenware pot...).
