your adventures are quite amusing. It has forced me to dust off the game, I have been trying to hold out for the new version but thanks to you I can not wait that long.

I don't think my adventures are as exciting as, say, Necro's or someone else's... but thanks?

My elf outsider just ambushed a human camp and killed everyone there with her copper spear (why she has a copper one instead of  a wooden one I don't know, but I'm not complaining)

Then took their clothes.  Because you know, noone wants to be naked in the snow.

Okay, magma's cleaned up, time to figure out what caused it.  Pictures to come whenever I get out of class, if someone wants to help me figure out where it is.

Also, my poor elven outsider got retired as both her legs seem permanently injured, unable to stand up.  Sure, a crutch solves that, but a fighting cripple doesn't fit my mental image very well, heh.

My guess would be that a cave croc fell into your magma at some point so the magma is 'soiled' with blood. When the magma evaporates it leaves behind the contaminants.

Kind of an odd bug but...it makes sense in a strange way.

That's probably right.  I had a lignite fire in my upper magma reservoir and where magma from there is evaporating it is leaving ashes.

I've seen blood from magma before since I was using the reservoir for processing my garbage dump of bloody goblin bits.  The stuff dissolves after a while.

I created a new, small world with long history... just for fun for adventuring.  And my first mission was to kill a goblin bandit.  Yay, my elf outsider gets clothes now.

Okay, the power system is complete. And I figured out why it was leaking-- I ahd the lack of foresight to completely connect the power system and forget that it was connected when I finished the Oxidane (DHMO) Reactor system and turned it on.  Whoops.

Adventurer mode is funnest with short history and large amounts of beast, as then you don't get as many abandoned forts.

I've been taking a break so I don't burn out.

I've gotten back in, and now have laid out the construction details for the first few levels of screw pump and walls.  The ramps are there so I don't have to deal with idiots building themselves into a corner.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

On the bottom image, I tried to time it to show why I placed them how I did-- you can see the damp stone there I hope.  This pump system takes from almost the right-most level of the magma-- and yet despite this I still have to move it further right because of water.  But that's not really an issue, as I can easily link up any of my pumps to my power system, and can always add more power train later if I need more.  Plenty of levels for me to do so before it reaches the surface anyway.  So I'm being cautious.  Everything will be linked up before I turn it on so I can see how much power I need in case my calculations were off.

So a speardwarf was going out to kill a Draltha, and found out there was a whole pack of them.  So yeah, he was probably dead.

Cue Adagio for Strings:

But wait!  He realizes I've canceled his attack order... and... stops... attacking?  And... runs away... like... some kind of sensible, intelligent person?  WHAT KIND OF DWARF IS THIS?!?!?  This must be a bug.

It's possible.

At any rate, hopefully I didn't screw this up, the digging has commenced for all the other levels.
