Am I a bad person for having multiple instances of Dwarf Fortress running at once?

Basically, I'm running my Orosmlo world as I'm generating another world to test out that mod, as the guy uploaded a new version which shouldn't crash on world gen.

Boldulodon (sounds like a type of Saurian) is finished.  Now to find an area to start the multiracial game and, well, start the multiracial game.

I found an entirely serene island with aquifers.  Going to try that out-- haven't played with Aquifers yet.

~40 levels below ground (44 if you count the hill, 40 if you count only the lowest non-river aboveground section) I found marble.  I also found natural gold and natural silver slightly above that.  Yay?

My first gobbo ambush!  Ten gobbos so far, and three thieves (caught by my dogs trying to get in to the fort).

One bowgobbo, five swordgobbos, and four pikegobbos.

The marble will come in quite handy handy when you start to want to upgrade to steel.  As for the gold and silver...  Should have a good way to boost the value of unhappy dwarves' rooms!

Ten dead gobbos, only one injured dwarf.

An axedwarf got his hand and both feet cut open.  I guess I'll go make some silk bandages for him.

And Momuz, my poor peasant turned captain, just got a title added to her name O.o

What does Momuz Erithigath Tustzallokum translate into?

I recall someone had a Dwarven - English translator at one point, but I don't know if it's still active...  Sometimes depending on what screen you're looking at, you can examine them with 'v' and find an English version of their name somewhere.

"The Malign Spears"...

And I found out WHY she got that title.

She killed six goblins (half of which were pikegobbos) in that battle.  And I think she did it with a birch training axe-- how do I check combat logs?

From the main view, hit 'R' to bring up a list of combat logs, then scroll down to find one that mentions her, and hit enter.  Sometimes the fight gets spread over several different reports, and sometimes you'll have to check the reports for the gobbos she killed to see everything.  Sounds like you've found a keeper!  :)

Wow.

She did it with her iron battle axe, sure, but even still...

Looks like she was actually dual-wielding her iron axe and her wooden axe.

Yup, keep that one alive.  Although, as cool as dual wielding is, there's not really any benefit to it in DF currently, so you'd probably be better off going into her uniform in the military screen, dropping the training axe and adding a shield.

Bisection is always fun.  You should see what is possible in Adventure Mode, where you can aim every attack down to which fingernail or tooth you lop off.  If you think you're ready for the ☼Responsibility☼, you can type all the special DF characters right from your keyboard with the Alt+# codes here (use the second, lower number under each symbol).

Oh!  Well then, more power (and axes) to her!

Indeed.

She only used the wooden axe when her iron one got stuck in a wound ,but it's still a nice mental image.

*Chops into a goblin's gut*  Damnit, it's stuck-- wait I've got another one *crushes the goblin's shoulder (this happened numerous times in that fight) with a wooden axe*
