Goblin Invader in a cage trap.
Also, possibly our new punching bag.
Also, if you want to join I'm giving out invites. As someone who has read this sentence you automatically rank up a bit from someone we recruit in game, or rather, you move to a different section.
Currently we are two alliances, the Slaves to Armok, and The Rough Riders. The Rough Riders recruit from within Illyriad and Slaves to Armok from this forums.
Basically everyone is equal, we have a remote yet filled with resources (good sovereignity tiles for production) island, and the game is pretty easy and it's a browser game. The hardest part is fighting someone, which we are always prepared to do except when we can talk our way out of it if there is no reward for us. Fortunately, I happen to be a veteran (experienced player) in Illyriad from those war filled days of yesteryear, and rich in game, and happen to be fairly knowledgable about the game and can give the advice and resources required to propel a group of forum go-ers into perhaps the most deadly and awesome group of Illyriadian's ever seen.
The trading in Illyriad is very good in addition, with a very active market and a very well designed system.
To the Devs:
I'd like to see more types of trade goods. It would be cool to have a civilian sector or something that you can specialize consumer goods to be made and such, with a very wide variety of products. Perhaps if you post a google documents link here we could help write you a list with items we things would be cool to see traded and be a part of quality of life or whatever you might call it? That way quality of life in a city is sort of measured too by how many consumable goods you make and trade for. Merchant players would love this and be a big help there too, since it should mostly come from the players.
If you'd like to join StA then make an account in Illyriad of any race. Then repeat the process so you have two accounts. This is because there is a two account limit in Illyriad. You don't have to have two, but hey, why not. The rule is you can't support one account with another, they both have to be what would otherwise be a normal account. They can be in the same alliance though, which means pretty much working towards the same goals I guess.
Also, to any former Illyriad Player: due to changes in the game there is a good chance your cities are either captured, degraded to ruins, or some other nasty fate. If you had negative food income they probably are gone as changes made those 'Bank' cities self destruct into ruins. If you had someone sitting, they can't access the account anymore and it's been helpless for a good few months.
