33f, no immigrants or traders!

Firstly, No, I haven't tried g yet, but I don't see anything in the change log about immigrants or traders not arriving.

Now then, I had a decent fortress, which I worked on for 2 game years with 33e. Delighted that 33f was out, fixing goblin sieges (which I hadn't had yet), I immediately got it and continued playing. Ever since I went from e to f, I stopped getting immigrants, or traders.

- No, I have not seized anything from traders
- Yes, I have more than enough value to attract new immigrants. Believe me on this one.

Any ideas?

Were your civilization available on the embark screen? If they are too far, they won't be able to reach you.

Same for goblins, elves and humans...

Sorry, I forgot to say it explicitly

In 33e:
- I got a dwarven caravan
- I got an elven caravan
- I got immigrants

Since 33f:
- nothing

I've been running the fortress for 2+ years in 33f, so they definitely had time to come.

you may want to update to 33g and see if the problem persists.  i doubt a bug in an older version will get fixed....

The reason I mention this is because I didn't see anything about immigrants or traders not coming in the changelog. I'll try g, but I doubt I'll see progress.

It probably won't.  but on the off chance that it does work fine now, you just saved toady a few hours of bug testing which means he has more time to work on other bugs and/or new content.
