The first job that Mason gave me was to find a man named Pretty-Boy Floyd and... make an example of him. He had stole a thousand bucks from Salvatore. The stealing hurt Salvatore more than the lost of the money however. The crime bosses were very touchy about their honour, and any slights to it. According to Mr. Salvatore's sources, Floyd was hiding out somewhere on Virgin Street, which is the entrance to New Reno. Obviously Pretty-Boy was hoping to make a quick get-away if one of Salvatore's henchmen found him.
Luckily for him, I had more pressing concerns when I started searching the place. Long story short, I'd parked my car near the street, and some asshole stole it. Needless to say I was pissed as hell. I immediately went to look for Jules. I figured that the bastard had alerted some of his buddies about the car, and they went to take it away. Oh, he denied any involvement at first, saying that he wasn't there at the time, but a couple of black eyes convinced him to tell the truth. His friends took the Highwayman to a place called the Chop-Shop, on the very outskirts of the city. It was owned by a bastard named T-Pain. We got into a shouting match about the ownership of the vehicle. He drew his shotgun out and started yelling about how he was going to bust a shell in my lying whore-ass mouth. Me? I punched him in the nuts and stomped his after he passed out. That scared the rest of the boys in the shop, and most of them managed to escape with their lives. Most of them.

After enjoying the return of my beloved Highwayman, I remembered about why I was on Virgin Street in the first place. Eventually I tracked Floyd down in the basement of the Desperado. After some more tact and diplomacy, Pretty-Boy was ready to lead us to the money. If you haven't seen any pictures of Golgotha, I'd suggest that you don't go looking for any. It's the reason that raiders never attacked New Reno. Thankfully Floyd didn't have the courage to hide his loot in the centre of the place. Instead it was hidden near the outskirts, where the bodies were mostly dead and the ravens were bird-sized. Floyd was such a nice guy that he 'volunteered' to dig up the stash. Good thing too, since he placed a landmine on top of the stash. Eventually Floyd digs far enough to reveal the opening to an old fallout shelter, where the money was stored. Suspecting another little trick, I convinced Pretty-Boy to go down into the shelter to collect the money. Or at least that's what I told him. I just wanted to see what would happen if the landmine went off. Heh. After that all I had to do was swipe the money from the stash and head back to the bar. Mr. Salvatore was nice enough to cut me half for the deal.
