Rob found the famed moat of radioactive waste to be less impressive than he thought. It looked like it had more industrial run-off than anything else.
Still, it wasn't something you would want to wade through. The Gunrunner's guards were very friendly. Undoubtedly they jumped at any excuse to get as far away from the moat as possible.
"I'd imagine that the moat would keep most people away."
"Eh, more like the Deathclaws. They keep everyone except the Adytumtowners away. Damn it, they're killing our business!"
"Then why haven't you killed them yet? You seem to have enough firepower to take down a Deathclaw."
"I'm not talking about the Deathclaws, though they aren't exactly pleasant to live next to. No, I'm talking about the damn Regulators. They're overcharging for scrap and food, trying to squeeze us out. The only reason they haven't attacked us outright is because of the Deathclaws!"
"Hmm... You know, the Blades are in need of some arms and weapons."
"Do they have the caps? Wait, shit, are they finally going after the Regulators?"
"They need arms to defend themselves if the Regulators attack. But from the look of things, they'll be quite... proactive about it."
"Aye. Well, shit isn't going to improve as it stands. I'll make a deal with you. Once the Regulators go the Deathclaws will have to leave a well. Take them out for me, and I'll give the Blades those weapons. On credit, I know that they don't have two caps to rub together."
"I think I can handle that..."
(Yeah, that egg just insulted my fighting skills. Deal with it)
"Back already?"
"Here."
"What is it?"
"A Deathclaw egg. Turns out they had a nest. Thought that you'd like a souvenir. Is the shipment ready?"
"Oh, yeah. I'll just place this thing... here then."
