[33g] Dettached cages set traps on fire?
« on: December 25, 2007, 09:07:00 pm »

Okay this is strange, and I didn't have a chance to try to reproduce it because my fortress burned down  :)

But I could have sworn that two times when I set a cage containing a goblin on fire the cage traps from which the cage came would also start burning - or possibly burning stuff from the goblin would be teleported over there.

Both times the situation was a little bit chaotic (sieges and stuff), so I cannot be sure.

First time I poured magma over the cage, second time I set up a dragon-powered incineration plant to get rid of the cages' contents  :) Well at least that was the   plan, but now...

I also still have goblins listed as invaders, and when I zoom to them, I end up where the cage traps are, although there is no goblin around.

And it's easy to reproduce: Simply dump a goblin cage into the magma.

So basically, what seems to happen is this: Whenever a goblin dies in a cage, the game uses the coordinates where he was originally trapped to drop his stuff - not good if the latter is on fire  :)

I'll take a look at it.  Perhaps it's related to the cloaks that appeared on dumped goblin bodies...
