Are those rocks, or Grey slimes? Because we have one sneaking up on the watch tower, as well as the rest of the horde

The object northeast of the watchtower, near the stump, is a rock, as are the ones scattered to the northwest along the hills.

Oh dear, stick creatures with the slime.

Should we wake up more people, guys?

I am for it, though I would hate to wake the others if there will be penalties for the following day, before first seeing just how formidable that moat is.
We may need to adapt to a nocturnal lifestyle if real threats only come at night.

If we did that, when would we construct buildings, conduct trade, gather resources, tend crops, and explore..?

Maybe if we tough it out for a few more days we will get to the point where these creatures are not a constant threat. Also, the journal Hans found in the cabin alludes to a potential greater threat that prompted the author create the one we're currently facing- namely, the Imperials.

Dun-dun-dun!

I think that the author of the journal somehow created these creatures to defend him or herself from the Imperials. I am also of the opinion that there is something creating and/or sustaining these creatures and that if we were to disable it, the pressure on New Hope would be greatly diminished.

Agreed, but who knows what the implications would be- are the Imperials still around? Did they abandon this area because of the creatures that stalk the night? And will they return if they vanish?

Plot thickens. :P

I think that once we have established a good fortification and a sturdy shelter, we should set out for whatever the source of these things is. Metal weapons would be nice, too.

Wow, those green slimes are now 100% worthless.

Now, let's see how well the orange ones fare.

And swapping between images I can state for a fact that Picky is right and there are no more incoming threats.

Tarran has the "Tarran Bug", a bug which causes the affected character to repeatedly hit teammates while dual-wielding instead of whatever the hell he is shooting at.

Ready the unhardened spears for throwing- let one of the orange slimes test the water. If he doesn't dissolve like the green ones, throw a spear and impale him along with any others in range.

Wait wait wait.

Ummm... dude...

How is dissolving and eroding 'swimming'?

It's more like suicide.

Knock the slimes that make it past the moat back into the water.

continue to brace ourselves and push the slimes back from the wall. Don't pursue them, yet.

Hans should ready as many torches as possible. Barkman.

Tactics against mobs:

Green Slime: Do not engage until they are in water.
Orange Slime: ???
Barkman: Throw torches/torch on stick and burn them alive. Do not let them even touch the moat; in case they went through, switch to bladed weapons.

Good policy here.
