Why don't we just Uproot them and replant them in a more accessible location. (Inside and near the middle)

Set another to work bringing down the trees to the right.
Have our woodcutter take up the saw and begin cutting planks from the tree. Get him to cut a couple of round shields first and a door to the kiln to make it more effective.

I keep forgetting to update the inventories for all the new things that get gathered/made so i'll try to pay more attention to those in the future.

He mentioned we settled on a lake for purposes of Not Dying of Thirst.

Edit: It's a shame how I draw up the image and then get some good suggestions. I actualy redid the image this time to picky would go looking for limestone. If your suggestion was a good one but only came up a few posts before I update don't think i'm ignoreing it, I've just already done the image up and changing it is a bit of a pain.

Double Edit: I might extend the map a bit to the right and down so that the moat doesn't have to go offscreen. This would mean you would have to scroll to image to see it though.
