The sun was nearly set.

Jaian and Picky continued to construct the shelter's defences, adding more spears in between the exsisting ones and lowered their angles so they would be more deadly to shorter foes. Franz continued to create more wooden spears to replace the ones being used in the construction of the shelter's defences and in the arming of the villagers.

The rest of the villagers fired hardened the exsisting spears to increase their combat effectivness.

I forgot to add the leaves around the shelter to conceal the villagers so i'll add them in update unless I forget. I don't actualy know what fire hardening is so that's my interpratation on it (even know it looks like they are toasting marshmellows).


I forgot to say but last update the reason I got them to move the logs was because a few people had suggested a wall, no one said what it should be made out of so I improvised.

Funfact: I've actualy had to post screenshots so that there isn't a white line down the side of the page. All this is thanks to that one tree in the bottom left that goes off of the stage, thanks a lot tree.

Thanks. It feels a bit cheated to me though because I reuse most of the assets instead of redrawing things, it does mean that I can update more often though and it doesn't kill me (and along with the small size of everything it hides how i can't draw to well).

Really I think your just being modest. That artstyle is simplistically beautiful.

eh, i feel very comfortable with my drawing skills, and i did go for much simpler designs when i did this kind of game, and even those were too taxing for me to keep up with it

I support cooking the berries as well.

I think the ones who are standing the graveyard shift should be alert, spears in hand, not crushing berries.

come on, the guys haven eaten in a day, and this isn't the graveyard shift, the sun has just set.
 though it would be careless to not leave a sentry or two, we have no real reason to think the night is any more dangerous that the day. do you propose the guys just stand around doing nothing for 6 turns?

it'll be more fun if we're optimistic and unprepared, besides, surviving also involves being kept fed

Come on, since when is being undefended and unprepared fun?  Chances are, if we go all hippy and peace-loving and liberal, we're gonna die.  And we can have the Chromes make food in the morning, maybe even got some farming and fishing done.  Right now, survival and defense is what matters.
