Can I unlock the magma forges without discovering magma?

I know it's cheating but I really don't care; I just want to have my fort last more than a year without me being bored.

The biggest problem is that I run out of fuel for wood burning and I really don't feel like trying to navigate the damn caverns to get to the GMS.

So, using DFLiquids, I can create magma but it doesn't give me the ability to build magma smelters/forges. So is there something specific I need to do?

Since you have DFHack, why not simply reveal the GMS? That way you'll have access to your magma forges without having to dig down.

The sea, and magma forges, are only "discovered" if a dwarf finds them while they're not revealed.  Volcanoes count as well.  If you play a fort, find magma, and then start ANOTHER fort, the second fort will have access to magma forges.
