300 human/elf/dwarf/goblin/kobold bodies 20 random animal/fish/bird bodies and 3 dragon bodies all in one backpack. fun stuff.

Either one would work fine.

Any crystal glass items will work - buy some raw material and craft it. I'd still magma the bastard, though.

you mean elves with loads of stone loaded onto their backs while walking on their hands with dwarves holding their legs to guide them?

Are you sure you are looking at the correct workshop?
Should be the jeweller, iirc.

"Raw clear glass and raw crystal glass cannot be selected for cutting or encrusting tasks at the jeweller's workshop. The tasks are available in the Job Manager screen."

"Using the Job Manager screen to cut crystal glass will satisfy a noble's demand for 'crystal glass items.'"

I love this. In three pages we've gone from being willing to eat intelligent beings, to trying to make them *more* intelligent, so it will be more fun to eat them.

I'm not sure if cutting it is, but making crystal glass or any items out of it is currently bugged.

At least in my last two fortresses, trying to make anything out it resulted in "requires crystal glass" even when there's piles of it in all forms.

The noble will decide which dwarf is responsible for failing the mandate (usually someone with the correct labor for the task - masons for stone statues, etc) and that dwarf gets a criminal record, followed by receiving the punishment for his crimes (assuming you have a justice system in place. If not, it goes into limbo until you do iirc). The noble whose mandate was failed will receive an unhappy thought for the failure, and another unhappy thought if the "criminal" isn't punished.

and if no one has the correct labor for the task?

also i apparently finished it as he has "was pleased to have a mandate deadline met"
he also has a failed one as well that i'm also only now seeing, ima be pissed if it includes a legendary as the "criminal"

No-one gets punished. Usually. Random charges can happen. If no-one is accused then the noble gets a second unhappy thought, just as if the accused was never punished.

Edit: Actually, it looks like the noble WILL charge someone, even if they have nothing to do with the mandate. They only way someone won't get charged is if your entire fort consists of nobles and legendaries, who are exempt. On that note, your legendary won't be charged.

If the system is the same as it was in 40D, then build a couple of cages or chains, designate them as for justice and appoint a sherriff. Whoever failed the mandate should get dragged off to jail to serve their time. It usually isn't very long. Note that most of my information comes from an older version though, so some of it might not be accurate anymore.

Or you could, you know, just throw him into the magma anyway. One of my dwarves was kicked into a volcano by a reindeer and her husband and all of her friends were ecstatic.

Oh yes, and cam, why is Gyarados your only pokey that uses an old sprite?
