This. Or just the "Duke is overcome by the King's death" bit should said chum's advice/learned ability be unhelpful/detrimental to our efforts to assuage the guard.

Also, I support the fake investigation bit, but let's try and leave the Duke's domain ASAP and just hope we can deceive the men he's given us long enough to frame someone and/or they all die due to adventure-related shenanigans.

You should leave whichever you don't favor, as we'll need to travel swift and light to outpace the Inquisitors.
