I love how all the people who work on this are people who are no longer present on the serious RP server for Bay 12 called BayStation 12.
Googol (I need to talk to ya sometime) Zaphod (IIRC, many people wen't to fond of you, I kinda miss ya though) Saint (you used to be there, before my time) and others.
a question though, "don't be a smeg head" means what?

honestly i dont like the new map it feels too open.
Its actually smaller than our older map. It takes up less surface area than most maps. All I did was make departments closer together, but tried to make most rooms actually bigger.

Unless you've added in a mint Zaphod, we don't have one. Although that'll be my next update along with a few more bugfixes.

Hum. Splitting the Heads offices from their workspace is a interesting idea. But I worry it will be a pain in the ass for the RD and the CE to have to run back and fourth.

The CE has a room to the south of engineering. It's not labelled on the map, but it is there.

I know what you mean. I think it has something to do with how... uncluttered the different rooms are. They have fewer tables and racks than the old map, meaning that they have more space to move around in.

I'm finally starting to make good on my threat to assemble a tiny SS13 map aimed at low-population servers. I'm aiming to bring the map size as low as I can manage and in order to keep things interesting for sneaky traitors I'm planning to exclude the AI facilities and probably only have on set of thermals on the station at start of play. I'm wondering if people would flip if I chose not to include an AI on the ship. What possible problems in the map design would this present?

It obviously couldn't run malfunction rounds and I'd probably just start an AI core in immediate, unavoidable, mortal peril to force a quick restart. Any other countermeasures I should employ to keep it playable without a station AI?

EDIT:Further, it seems that I can presently only place one object on a given tile in the map-maker. How do I fix this? I managed to work out ID restrictions, but this still has me stumped.

watch red dwarf. it's funny.
'smeg head' is one of the most used insults on it, and smeg means sperm, jizz, semen, whatever you want to call it.
"Don't be a smeg head" would be awesome for an archaic rap.

Smeg is actually short for smegma, which is that white stuff that smells of cheese that can form around your penis head


So smeg head basically means you're calling someone a smelly dick head

And the show creators claim they weren't aware of the "medical" term untill some one pointed it out after they used it in the show. They just wanted a spacey sounding swear word they could use on tv with out getting censored. Much like battle star Galactica's "Frak".
