I don't believe it's possible to give people quivers in arena mode. Your dwarf will be holding the crossbow in one hand and the bolts in the other. It will work fine, but you will not be able to use a shield while doing this.

You won't have enough. A win against a wolf will leave you with 35 Urists.

Unfortunately, it appears that the game does not let me spawn cave blobs in arena mode. Upon further inspection, it appears that creatures normally found in the caverns are unable to be spawned (e.g. blind cave ogre, jabberer), and thus cannot be purchased.

Oh well, that is probably for the best. When you said that we could have any pet, my mind went to helmet snakes, which are valued the same as wolves...
