Melon-juice-sealed-routers aside, I don't know about you guys, but for me the internet is frankly a massive and largely unproductive waste of my time.  If my dad showed up on my doorstep and ripped the modem out of the wall, I'd be pretty happy with all the free time I had on my hands.  Read some books, take some walks, and live, DrPoo!  And, er, I'll try to practice what I prea....

Yeah, this. I lost internet for a few days back then when my mother didn't pay the bills, and I loved it. Went out on a few dates, spent some times out playing games with siblings, played some offline games. It's a lot of fun. The internet is more of an addiction thing, you check your emails, you play online games, you get on forums, you get hooked. None of it is actually fun... it's just more like something you feel compelled to do.

If your father is anything like my mother, he'll feel sorry about it after 3-7 days and give it back after you 'learn your lesson'. Maybe 3-5 months if your father is as stubborn as mine. Till then, just use the break to think about stuff... though you'll probably be back on a cybercafe or something.

Oh i really hope he is not. But now a day has passed and i am still here.
We dont really pay for the Internet Service, since its my dad's job who provided the internet, so he could work at home.

I think its a false alarm, but i am not quite sure if he is going to act on it yet.
If i disappear i will use my iPhone for internet untill they figure out and cancel my subscription or whatever its called.

We'll miss your ill-timed and slightly ridiculous poo references.

A bit.

Well not really. But I'm glad you're still here anyway.

Reading books and taking walks sounds pretty unproductive.  :P

Maybe studying for your classes or or creating something cool and/or useful would be productive.  Spend extra time after work doing stuff, etc.  Also, things like drawing or composing music or just learning whatever.  Reading something informative could also be pretty productive depending.  Browsing on reddit or 4chan probably isn't, but it's good for breaks to relieve stress.

Spending time without the internet is alright, it gives me a bit more free time. After a while, though, I tend to miss the social contact.

At worst, you might be gone for a couple weeks. It shouldn't be too bad. Probably the worst to happen when you get back is maybe a few more PMs (and email to filter) to respond to than usual, but that would be it really. Sucks nonetheless to lose your privileges though.
