For what it's worth, I don't particularly like any of them.  Granted I'm not known for my sense of humor, I think a plain apron would probably be fine and look better in the end.  And almost certainly cheaper.  I don't usually wear an apron when I cook/bake/etc, but I do have a heavy denim apron for machine and metal work and the like.  If it can handle that, something like it should be able to handle cooking.

 Heh, I've a weird sense of humor. I don't really use aprons either most the time but I figured a little enthusiasm wouldn't hurt any .

 I think there is an old leather apron around here that we used to use when we melted down lead to make bullets. I could probably just use that if I really needed protection lol. Speaking of which I plan to make my own maple syrup. I keep forgeting to ask my mother to show me how to tap the trees and cook it though. I think I'll do that tomorrow, its probably to late for that though.
