You go into the games list and click on the server's join button.

Got a bit too loose and got permanently suspended from adminship.


Honestly, I don't know why people are insulting you. That shouldn't be happening. I'd report it to headswe, or another admin. Now, if they're only insulting the suggestion, that's a different story. This is the internet, after all.

Questions too? Maybe the server has changed since I was on, but at worst someone was told to use adminhelp instead of OOC.


However, I must note. If by captain's laser you mean the antique laser in the glass case, well, you aren't supposed to touch that. Or use the harm function of the laser unless absolutely necessary. The antique laser is mostly for traitors, syndicate, and to add a little flavor.

Elitism has gotten rampant on Baystation, unfortunately. Which is a shame, because elitism kills a good roleplay.

I agree with most of the baystation hate. Baystation was founded on a kind of Dwarf Fortress in Space ideal, and since then has migrated to mods which enforce roleplay, when roleplay is supposed to occur spontaneously. When everyone is actually roleplaying being a cog in a functional machine it's not very fun. Deviation from the norm and creativity is pretty hated or something, and it's ridiculous in the worst way. Personally I play on /tg/station for its mix of roleplay and the silliness that ss13 is all about. I think if the penny arcade server is still around it'll fit what you want, if /tg/station doesn't.

I play on Goonstation, I don't know what people are talking about with the admins constantly fucking up the round, there's maybe 1 in every 6th round the admins fuck with it, less than that they actually break it. Simply staying on the good side of the admins (which is very easy) will net you a good, surprisingly low lag, active experience. On top of that, Goonstation is probably the most actively updated one I know of, new stuff always coming out of the machine.

Roleplay can work on a game like SS13, problem is I don't think SS13 was designed for it. Half the jobs have little worth beyond roleplay value on the Goonstation (see: chef, barman, miner...) but people rarely roleplay then anyway.
