thanks for the summary I'd read a lot of the thread anyway but the summary is great for quick reference.

EDIT: should probably ask is there a problem with me being a villain or is that okay?

Yes it is alright to create a villain, but it is still recommended that you use the random power button on the superpower wiki. We have a villain player, Wei Lung and maybe Ulysses, but there is no reason to not have more. We still have plenty of heroes to fight them.

Yeah used random button got http://powerlisting.wikia.com/wiki/Spell_Casting so that's gonna make for diverse starting options and I'm not sure if   I'm going to be a villain or not I was just wondering mainly.

Okay, here's my idea for an event. It's going to be nice and simple, no completely unbeatable entities or anything.

Inside the Old Town quarter, the center of Kaleno which is now a slum, there has been rumors of a strange event. A red fog descends on the town at exactly midnight, causing people to disappear. There has been no survivors, and the gang wars within are distracting the police force. The only people who could possibly help would be the supers. What is the Secret In Old Town?

Hmmm... Interesting... Could lead to a number of things, but I keep thinking vampires. Not that it's bad, but it's been done before.

How about this:

A bank robbery is underway and the crooks (who may or may not be supers) are just leaving the building, when they are intercepted by supers. However, things turn for the worst when the buster corps decide to take them all in, innocent supers and crooks alike.

I like Zako's idea. Fniff's sounds cool but we  can't have eldricth/supernatural horrors showing up constantly, need to be balanced out with some more mundane superhero-ey stuff too

Actually, it doesn't have to be supernatural. It could be an organ harvesting attempt using a knockout gas, a superhero whose power is to cause the fog to happen so he can absorb the people trapped or anything else.

Also, if you are curious, I kinda feel like a bit of social roleplaying to end the day. Character development and all that.
