What I love about my character is that what he knows is mainly from textbooks, random banter between guards, and from the researchers. Not to mention the fact that he doesn't talk to many people normally and will ignore you if he doesn't want something. To top it off he has no real moral code. He is perfectly happy to tear you limb from limb if he thinks your a threat to him, in the way, or maybe just annoying.

Talk about timing. The moment I leave for a lab everyone starts posting. We should try to develop the villain groups some more. While Beast Master would be an obvious choice for the person who made Subject 187 I think I'll wait before detailing that too much.

How did Wei move active power nullifiers with his powers?

And now for an argument why Arthur wouldnt be bothered by that. Because everyone needs to follow rules except me. The rest of the powers are an aura sort of deal on themselves or on the surrounding area and I assume thats what the power nullifier takes out. Powder shouldnt be able to affect things near a nullifier, nor Wei.

Arthur however would only be bothered by a power nullifier being near him, even though he has a "ranged" power, because he simply acts as a radio, without affecting things beyond himself. It is however an extremely weak form of electricity manipulation, and a more "direct" use of powers near the nullifier would indeed be stopped. The nullifier cuts out a part of Arthurs recieving area though, which reaches a couple dozen meters beyond himself.

Heh, this is pretty fun. I might try explaining some other peoples stuff later, if they agree to it of course.

The nullifiers are short range. He picked them up with blood at long range. Makes sense to me.

As I think of it, the nullifiers stop all super abilities in their range, possibly by emitting some sort of pulse that reacts with whatever gives people super abilities. If this super-organ if you will, isn't in range, logically nothing happens. Blood doesn't have this super organ, its just blood, therefore nothing happens to it.

So at last we meet in a battle of wits.

Spoiler: shitty answer (click to show/hide)

EDIT: Blah, that sounded sorta....odd. Anyway here is a better answer:

The power nullifiers have been proven to be hard-counters for an extremely large portion of the supers. Having anyone be able to directly manipulate them (Picking them up and the like) is unfair to the ones who cant. I would prefer them to stay as an "equalizer" for the unpowered opposition like the busters. And to be a counter to everyone.

Except meeeee, cause Im special and awesome and completely dependant on outside influence for my powers.

I think I'm ok with the fact that Wei can move power inhibitors from a long range. I mean, he's the only villain for now, if we don't give him a few advantages he's not gonna get through the week.

He can already move exceedingly large quantities of blood, and stab you with it.

If he uses his powers to the full extent, everyone except maybe James would be instakilled or immobile, drowning in blood.

Yes, but at the same time his defences are extremely weak. PTM, the guy with the Gun Arm, Zeox, Rick, and to a lesser extent Alex, James, Kine and 187 could all kill him in just a few hits. And since sooner or later all of these people will hate him...

He could always make a shield of blood. But that would leave him vulnerable to snipers and things he doesnt see coming.

Strong offense, weak defense. That is acceptable.

I'm not too sure about the lesser extent with 187. I've mainly been using the slower larger scale manipulations. When up close anything goes. Spikes, and blades from everywhere with just a sliding motion along any surface. Not to mention being rammed by him is the equivalent of being hit by a car going the same speed. It would be awesome to combine the two for devastation. The trick is to get close.

Well these particular nullifiers were designed to be short ranged. I was just taking advantage of the fact and using it to my own benefit, as is proper of a villain. And they are indeed a hard counter to supers, they cut off whole areas from supers and disable them completely if you can trap them in the area of effect, a lot like I did. You just have to think about it. And of course they are supposed to be unfair to a large majority of supers, THATS THEIR PURPOSE. And everyone can manipulate them at range if they are smart. EVERYONE.

And don't give me that special and awesome crap for your character, you are trying to force me into a situation that you would also be in and are purposely excluding yourself. That's bullcrap. I'm not saying that you cannot manipulate them at range, you definately can find a way if you are creative, but making such an exclusion is largely unfair.

And yes, Wei is powerful. But he is limited, both by his range and the amount of blood available. He's not like powder, who basically has infinite resources available to him. (One of the few people I am really concerned by.) Thankfully, due to him having blood inside himself, he can manipulate his own blood to help protect himself and repair tissue damage quickly. He can't fix bones and the like, no blood inside those, but he can reinforce them with a covering of strengthened blood. Also, due to him basically manhandling his body using blood to extremes, he has heightened bodily functions, namely strength, speed, agility, endurance and damage resistance. He isn't as capable as supers who are specialised in those type of things, but he is better than normal.

Indeed, poor old Wei has the world against him, he is vastly outnumbered and has less than optimal defence. His real defence is either killing or disabling his opponents before they can attack or notice him. That and using his brain. He has to be really smart to survive in this world. Now that I think of it, maybe I should go find a few friends?

Great thing about being an anti-hero with no morals, you can join the enemy if it suits a purpose. If Wei turns against his employer for any reason 187 would be glad to help get revenge, even if it meant fighting supers along the way. Also, he isn't out to protect others. If there is no gain he won't randomly join a fight. If this change of sides does happen I think I'll have to be more cautious around everyone in general. Maybe if Wei was familiar with Subject 187 via his employer (who may or may not have made him) he could try and convince him to join sides.

EDIT: You can also bribe him with information. Job for info. I think this would fit better for Wei.

This is actually a pretty stupid argument as far as Ive handled it. I just dont like "direct" use of powers on nullifiers. I would have been totally cool with it if you had just grabbed the truck with the nullifier. As far as things are considered right now, you could just carry around a bunch of nullfiers with your blood and use them as necessary. No cleverness necessary. If you just had to tie them up to a long stick to carry them around, then I would be cool with it too.

And you do realize we would both be affected exactly the same if we couldnt directly affect the nullifiers? Hell, I even might be affected more. If the nullifier would have a physical switch, then I would be completely fucked, even if I pulled technopathy out, and you could just shoot spikes at it.

Lets just retcon it to him moving the van and tipping it to make the inhibitor fall out. I would have to agree that using powers on a power inhibitor is a bit too much. Even if it is a 'super organ' that controls it there needs to be some kind of energy holding the blood up, which the inhibitor would counter.

EDIT: Being able to carry those things is also going too far. Supers are suppose to fear these. Judging from the fact that those were in the back of a van and not just carried I'd also say that they are also pretty heavy. Unless you possess outrageous strength you shouldn't be able to lift it without powers (which shouldn't work).
