Is it weird that Snape is the only reason I've ever been tempted to watch the Harry Potter movies?

Not at all. Snape is reason enough.

I made a leveless roleplaying system where characters are assumed to be training in some fashion during their free time. Combat and skill rolls only add experience on critical successes and failures, so fighting every foe in sight is a less reliable method of improvement. The players and GM have to do a little time management, but it's interesting having the players choose between traveling, training, and getting things done.

What's funny about that first frame is that most of the students look like they're not even paying attention to the fight.

"Ho hum, just another day at Hogwarts."

Also: Brilliant GM manipulation, there. If my GM started pulling stunts like that, I'd suspect him of being an actual BBEG.

I like how neither of them have any defensive spells. Just, y'know, shoot at each other until somebody falls unconscious. This is a safe school activity.

I lol'd. Seems true of players and just about everything in general, really. :P

There really ought to be a lot of Slytherin heirs kicking around. If he gets, say, two kids, and every kid gets two kids, and there are, say, 25 years between every generation, in generation 40 (after 1,000 years) there are 34,359,738,368 heirs of Slytherin. Assuming there's no inbreeding.

And no death.

I think he just didn't have kids, so any heir would be spiritual rather than hereditary.
