Ah, fairies. But one of the many problems that excessive drinking can solve.

The kitchenette mold free, you move on to the pantry. it's nasty in there. The bacon is grazing on the lettuce. The ham is having an illicit affair with the prime rib, The potatoes see all, know all. A rat in boxer shorts smoking a foul smelling cigar is banging on a cabinet shouting about rent money.

What is it?
I'd download it myself, but my bones are filled with paranoia instead of marrow.

Fanfiction RPG is a roleplaying game that lets you play a role in an incredibly bad fanfic. You are a Mary Sue or a Marty Stu; a character who the author loves, who has invincible powers, who is good and pure and beautiful and great in every way. Your only problem is that there are more than one Sue in this fanfic…

Fanfiction RPG is a very cool and edgy roleplaying game since the players can have a huge influence on the story. With Infinite Abilities, Powers, Twists, Ex Machinas and Dramas around, the poor Games Master doesn’t have much say about what happens.
Quote
Before you start playing, the players and GM must agree on an original work that the adventure is a fanfic of.

Your character can have a total of five Infinite Abilities and/or Powers. If you want to you can choose an Obligatory Weakness for your character, who will then get an extra Ability or Power.

Infinite Abilities are things that your character is simply the best at. Every time they use one of these abilities, they will succeed.

Powers are things your character can do, but no one else can. They can also be special physical or mental pecularities.

You don’t have to have a Obligatory Weakness. But as everyone knows, well developed, interesting characters always have something that they are not incredibly good at. Plus, you get an extra Ability or Power if you have a Weakness…
Quote
Since all characters tend to succeed at whatever they try to do, no rules for combat etc. are needed.

The only rules you need to think of is that the players can at any time use their Story Points to any of the following.

A Twist is the sudden revelation that something in the adventure is not what it seems to be. A player can spend one of their character’s Story Points to do a Twist.

An Ex Machina is when your character suddenly gets exactly what they need. A player can spend one of their character’s Story Points to do an Ex Machina.

There are three kinds of Drama: Idiot, Conflict, and Distress. They need some kind of objects to represent them. You can use cards, markers, scraps of paper or whatever. There is one Drama of each kind. They are all used in the same way.

To begin with, no character possess the Dramas, but can be used by anyone. A player can spend one of their character’s Story Points to throw a Drama at another player’s character. That character must then act in accordance to the Drama’s type. The character’s player keeps the Drama and only they can throw it on another character.

A story where all the main characters are invincible becomes boring quickly. Even fanfic writers realizes this sometimes, so to create tension they have their characters to extremely stupid things.
A character who gets Drama: Idiot must do something really stupid as fast as possible. You only need to do one idiotic thing; you don’t need to act like an idiot as long as you possess the Drama.

Conflicts drive every story. Usually a story has one big, overarching conflict, but to create extra drama you can add smaller conflicts between characters. A skilled author can do this in a natural, interesting way. A fanfic author… well.
A character who gets Drama: Conflict must start a conflict with one or more other player characters as fast as possible. You only need to continue the conflict as long as the situation calls for; not as long as you possess the Drama.

A very common trope is to have one character end up in a situation where the others must save them. This allows for a lot of action, tension and romance. With all of this, it’s no wonder that the distressing often feels forced.
A character who gets Drama: Distress must end up in distress as fast as possible, to be saved by the other characters. You only need to end up in distress once; not as long as you possess the Drama.

In essence, you make overpowered autosuccess characters, then hurl idiot balls at one another.
